I've been an avid Dawn user and trusted it to clean my baby's dishes, but I just bought the Platinum new scent and it is terrible. It has a horrid chemical smell with a lingering rancid smell. I will no longer be buying Dawn sadly. Please go back to the original fragrance!

The new "Clean Scent" Dawn dishwashing soap smells gross. The smell is too strong. Maybe even medicinal. The old was was perfectly fine, and much less pronounced, which was one of the reasons we liked it. Plus it worked well. We won't be buying it any more unless it goes back to the original scent.

DAWN's Platinum dishwashing liquid is the best I've ever used. Many products lay claim to being powerful but this one really is! Additionally, it works great on getting grease and dirt out from under your fingernails. They should use DAWN Platinum in nail salons. Maybe they already do!

I was super excited to try the platinum because who doesn't love less scrubbing. I made the mistake of not smelling it before I brought home the "refreshing rain" scent, and boy did i make a mistake! I started filling my sink of hot water added the soap and found myself looking around the house trying to figure out what that smell was. My husband joined the search because he could smell it too. After many minutes of searching we realized it was in fact the dishes. We sniffed the bottle and it was the culprit. My husband described it as "the underside of a wet rock." So needless to say we will not be purchasing this particular scent again but my dishes were much less greasy and did not require 2 passes through the wash as they usually do. Great product horrible scent.

Dawn is great for so much. Dissolves. Grease in pans and on other surfaces. Good hair stripping shampoo and good kitten wash. Don’t particularly care for special scents just want to get the job done. For fish smells though a lemon based cleaner is far superior

In my opinion this is the best dish soap I ever had. It doesn’t leave any rash on my hands because with some soaps I use I always end up with rashes I don’t know if it’s because of the ingredients or not that causes that but I have not had a problem with this soap. It works really good my family only buys this. It smells good to me. And it works better and it’s a lot easier to get dry food off the plates it like softens it somehow and makes everything come off easier. So it’s a great dish soap to use. And I heard that dawn makes oil come off it was animal tested and it gets rid of fleas! This is a awesome soap. I was watching this one commercial and it was about ducks having oil on them and they used dawn soap to get all the oil off of them. This was also on the news a couple years ago but I totally recommend this to everyone to get this soap if you have a lot of dishes or if you have pets that have fleas, dawn soap will do the magic!

While I like the cleaning power, the scent is so overpowering and off-putting (wet cardboard and dirty socks is how my husband poetically phrased it) that I am switching back to my old soap as soo as possible. Of course we got the huge Costco-sized bottle so that will be a while. Really disappointed as this made an already unenjoyable household task so much worse

I've been using Dawn for a very long time and I've never found it lacking to clean all my kitchen ware very well. I bake a lot of pastry and it always works perfectly on my heavy on the butter clean up. I recently bought a refill size Platinum 4x faster without paying attention to the "scent". The "refreshing rain scent" seems more appropriate for clothes washing, definitely not around the kitchen. In fact, it's off putting and competes with my labor-intensive baking. To be fair it still cleans just as well as before. Refill size is too expensive to throw away but too disappointing to ignore my dislike. Just thought you might like to know.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had to cook for my my mother in law. Not an easy task. She complained the whole time. Then dinner was over and it was time to do the dishes. She insisted on scrubbing the pans. She scrubbed and scrubbed! I giggled and remembered I had stopped at the store on the way! I went out to my car and handed her my dawn! I told her to use three drops and let it soak for about 5 min. When we returned, goodbye muck! She kept my dawn and told her son my husband what a smart wife he has!

This dish liquid really works very well ok cutting through the grease on dirty dishes and cleaning them well. It smells great and leaves them looking, smelling, and feeling wonderful. It is extremely effective. I will only go with this when buying dish liquid. I reccomend it very highly.
