The new scent of Dawn STINKS! I suspect this new scent is cheaper for you. It smells so bad, I am switching brands. It smells like teenage boy BO covered over with cheap drugstore cologne. Ugh!!! Remember when Coke made New Coke? EVERYONE hated it and that brainy idea blew up in their faces and they had to bring back original Coke??? I predict the same outcome for this new scent. It is awful and everyone agrees with me.

I’ve been buying regular dawn for years and the new scent just reeks! I thought my bottle was expired! It’s thick and slimy too, it doesn’t make me feel that my dishes are clean. It leaves quite the residue and an aftertaste on my food! I want the original scents back!

Nothing beats the cleaning power of Dawn and I have used it exclusively for decades, the new platinum scent is overbearing and lingering. Smelling of green tea, dirt and baby powder I assumed I got a bad bottle but it appears this is the new scent formulation. Some people might like it but its a little misleading when you have been buying a product for years in the same scent and then suddenly its completely different, why not just make a new scent line instead of replacing what was so good before? Again, it cleans wonderfully still, but the scent lingers and is off putting if you were expecting the old scent. I will be switching to the original from now on because this scent just doesn't work for me even though I prefer the platinum line for the increased cleaning.

I've always know Dawn Ultra was a great dishwashing liquid, and it also works extremely well on oil/grease/various stains in the laundry. Today I needed to wash the sponges I use for makeup and decided to give Dawn Ultra a try. Oh my goodness, it's now going to be my go-to for washing makeup sponges. It made quick work of cleaning the sponges. I should have done a before and after photo, but didn't realize I could include a picture with my review.

I bought such a huge bottle of this soap before they changed the scent that I hadn't needed to replace it until recently. I was horrified to find out the scent was different and I was unfortunate enough to have purchased a second large bottle. I will either give it away or throw it out. I find it so nauseating.

I have used Dawn since I could remember. I like the way it was do not change the originals companies! Add to your line but do not change what the customer expects when they have used it forever! I will not buy again and definitely not at bulk stores as usual anymore as I do not like the new smell. Change it back please. always look for original and nothing scented because I used it for everything including bathing my animals, not just dishes. The new smell is horrible. Bad decision.

I have always loved Dawn, but can't stand the new "fresh clean scent". It had a clean scent before but now smells like perfume. It is so strong that a family member walked in the front door and asked what I was cleaning with (just washed dishes). Please provide the option of the original scent!

I used it for it's abilty to cut grease when I was washing some pot holders and I was impressed on how well it worked. It cut throught build on grease that other couldn't. I like the rain scent it makes it easy for me to wash my dished.Dawn has more cleanning uses than just hand washing dishes and is better at cutting greasey messes 

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dawn platinum has been the best dish detergent. The dish soap lathers up very nicely and hits the problem areas. Washing stuck on grease on pots and pans is a breeze now. Especially the stubborn casserole dishes. Dawn platinum is well worth it value.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried many different kind of dish washing liiquids. My mom always just bought the cheapest...said they were all the same. I used to believe that...until I tried this! AMAZING!!! We have Calphalon non stick pans and some things just seems to never come off easily. I filled the sink w/very hot water and this and added my pans. I came back about 20 minutes later and they are like brand new! It not only cleaned what was ontop, but took out stains. I always thought my pans were 'clean' but now they are like brand new and spotless! THANK YOU!!! I'll never use anything else!
