I love Dawn platinum and have been using it for years. We have hard well water & it works better than any other! That being said, I do not like the scent change!!! In fact it stinks like Palmolive dish detergent & has me looking for a new product with a less offensive smell.

I love Dawn dish soap. One, it works and always provided the bubbles so I could continue washing my dishes. I've used other brands to only be disappointed by not having bubbles and used half a bottle or the cleaning power didn't work as advertised so I went back to Dawn for that reason. Hand washing dishes due to not having a dishwasher you find what works and what doesn't and since I always cooked, grease was a given.

Unfortunately, the company has opted for a fragrance that can only be described as reminiscent of an old lady's perfume. This overpowering and outdated aroma lingers not only on your dishes but also throughout your kitchen, making the post-meal cleanup process less than pleasant. What was once a task met with neutral scents or even refreshing aromas now feels like a journey back in time to a perfume counter of the past, where such heavy, floral scents might have been more at home. This choice of fragrance significantly detracts from the user experience, overshadowing the soap's commendable cleaning capabilities. It's disheartening to see a brand renowned for its reliability take such a misstep in product development, prioritizing a scent that may not appeal to a wide range of consumers. Hopefully, Dawn will take this feedback to heart and consider reintroducing the classic, less intrusive scents that many have come to know and love, or at least offer a variety that caters to different preferences.

Long lasting suds, exceptional cleaning power and it only takes a few drops to do a sink full of dishes but I also use Dawn to clean the counters, the fridge, the stove, wipe down my cabinets, clean out the washer and dryer and to clean the bathrooms from top to bottom. Also the Fresh Rain scent is beyond amazing. I also reach for this first on my cleaning shopping supplies list.

Whoever came up with the "Fresh Rain" scent should be fired! It is disgusting, smells nothing like rain, it smells like like some hideous perfume!! I tried it just once, it made me physically ill- headache and nausea. Why would someone want to wash their dishes with perfume? I have used Dawn for many years- I will be switching to another brand.

Dawn is the gold standard for hand washing dishes in my kitchen.  It breaks up oils and grease better than any other cleaner I've ever used.  The ONLY drawback to Dawn is that it is too good--I don't use it on my nonstick pans any longer because they don't last if I use Dawn on them!

Why did you modify the formula of a product that people liked? That was foolish. Now I and many others can’t stand the smell and will find alternatives. Later you’ll likely revert back to the original formula but in the meantime many of us will have moved on. Changing the formula was not a good business decision.

I will try to be constructive here. I have been buying dawn platinum now for about 5 years. I have allergies and irritations related to Parfums as soon as I bought 1i stopped buying anything else. I had a soap that wasn't unpleasant and didn't irritate my senses. However we just bought two new bottles and I thought we had gotten the wrong kind, for a rain scent it has become very strong pungent and almost floral. After seeing some comments online it appears the formula has changed and other people are having issues as well. So as for now I'm searching for a new soap again. I don't want to wash dishes in perfume. I just want them to be clean and not have a chemical smell or leave a residue that smells like wet dogafter they dry. I just want a clean plate I can enjoy knowing is clean so I can enjoy my food. Before i found this soap I don't know how many times I've rewashed my dishes because they end up smelling. I really liked this product and I hope you can change it back. I understand you try to change and innovate you can't make everyone happy.

I have been using Dawn Platinum for over a year. Amazing improvement over other Dawn brands I’d used in the past. All was well till a bought a new bottle. The previous scent was fine but now that scent is overwhelming. I can’t use it to wash my hands as the smell stays on my skin. Why wreck a top notch produce with unnecessary smell. Please wind it back!
