I switch between Dawn Ultra Platinum and Mrs. Meyers for dish soap but always come back to Dawn. Dawn makes me feel like it’s truly cleaning my dishes and helps break down any cooked on food. I never have to work/scrub very hard when I use Dawn dish soap.

This scent is TERRIBLE. Furthermore, it clings and only vinegar will eliminate it. I had to throw it away and try other scents, settling on the Green Papaya. When I couldn’t find it anywhere, my husband brought home Clean Lemon. But THAT stank as bad as the Fresh Rain! As though they just added a mild lemon scent to the rotten sewage odor! Throwing IT away as well! I’m ready to give up and find another product if I can’t find a scent that would offend even the oily ducks!

I have always loved Dawn and have always been faithful to their brand. They came out with Dawn Platinum and I was hesitant at first but oh my goodness it’s worth it to switch over and give it a try. Nothing can out power Dawn platinum. So gentle on the hands but so tough on dirty dishes!

My 2007 Chevy Express cargo Van has set out of the garage all winter under a pecan tree and oak trees where leaves have penetrated the engine area and it's never been so dirty. Caked on dirt from the roof top of the van to the windows and hood, to the brown lettering on the tires that used to be white lettering. I think my saving Grace was the fact that my band had never been this dirty and I've always kept it clean but I thought this Dawn dish detergent and red on the back of the instructions that it would be good for car wash so I gave it a try and to my surprise I started at the top of my band standing on a 10 foot ladder using a brush I did some pretty hard scrubbing but as I scrubbed I saw the dirt coming off. So I had a second water bucket that I would dip the brush in to get rid of the black dirt coming off the van and before I knew it after about 30 minutes I had the top of my van white like it had never been since it was new. I thought to myself wow man I want to keep going but it's hotter than the 4th of July out here so I took a break and I kept going and after about an hour I have wash ed all five windows the hood the front end of the van bumpers in Midway around the car from the top to the bottom of the windows. And I called it a day. The next day I finished up the body of the car and I used the same brush to go over the tires which don't have a lot of miles on them and I completed the work. So the next day I drove the van to Sam's Club and just looking out my mirrors and seeing the van through the mirrors felt like I was driving a new van. I got out of the parking lot and I took pictures of my van in Sam's parking lot the lettering on the tires were white and I did not do a lot of scrubbing. Unbelievable how clean this paint job came out. Need I say anymore?

undoubtedly the best to wash dishes, I am Housewife and wash dishes is a constant. It's more expensive than other brands but it's worth it. before I used other cheap ones that did not work. Dawn yields a lot and is also delicate with your hands. it's worth investing in a good dish soap.

This dishwashing liquid is terrific! My husband says that this is the only dish liquid that he will buy. He says that you just put the dishes in the sink with this, and they are clean in a few minutes. He does the grocery shopping and helps with dishes , and I have to say that he is right!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used original Dawn for years. My sister gave me a bottle of Platinum Power Clean when we were doing Thanksgiving dishes. It was exactly what the label said, it was like having "the power of an overnight soak". We didn't have to soak the greasy turkey roaster and other pans. We were done with the dishes in a jiffy and were able to relax with the rest of the family.

I’ve been using Dawn since it was invented back in the early ‘70s and loved it. But now it no longer works. The 2x was a disappointment but useable; the 3x, though, could not be used out of the bottle. I had to pour part of it into another bottle and dilute it 3-to-1 with water to make it work. Then both the 2x and 3x were discontinued and the 4x is all the stores carry. This product is just awful. No matter how much I dilute it, I can’t get it off the dishes. It leaves everything feeling slimy. (I tried full strength 4x also – that leaves a heavy residue of grease.) And the soap itself stinks. Please bring back the old Dawn that worked and don’t use heavy scents that so many people are sensitive to.

Going back to regular Dawn. Tried the Platinum and even my thoroughly rinsed dishes still had a film on them. Ate off one last night & my pasta tasted like soap. Not a fan. Still a Dawn customer as I’ve never had that problem with regular Dawn, just won’t buy the Platinum again.

The original Dawn Platinum stated it cleaned 48 hour stuck on food. I never let dishes sit that long. But, I do know it easily cleaned burnt on food after soaking less than 30 minutes. I still have about an ounce left from the last bottle, that I was fortunate enough to find. The new Platinum is disappointing. The foam works better than the new version, definitely not nearly as well as the original. More expensive too. Any chance of bringing back the Dawn ultra Platinum, bleach alternative that "Powers Away 48hr Stuck On Food In Seconds"
