Why??? I used and loved Dawn for decades but will be looking for a replacement. Why? Because the new scent is horrible. It lingers on dishes and my hands feel dried out after washing dishes. P&G did the same thing with Dreft a few years ago— they changed the scent to something more like cheap perfume than anything you’d want near a baby. I quit using Dreft then just like I will quit using Dawn now.

It gets off the stuck on parts with ease. Dawn also has many other uses, which you can find on Pinterest. All in all it is a great price, great value for your buck. Would highly recommend.

I have used this for years. I recently purchased a new bottle and was was immediately hit by this horrible odor...the bottle l Iisted the refreshing rain scent... NOTHING on the bottle listed NEW scent or formula. I am very disappointed because this soap works amazing, but I will need to find a new brand because I shouldn't want to gag while doing my dishes. Plus, you CANNOT get the smell off of your hands. Soooo Gross!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using dawn since I was a child. I love that they continue to make it more effective so you really don't need to soak or scrub dishes. My husband also uses it in his machine shop. Its s great grease fighter and gentle on the parts.....I will always use and find new uses for this product.

Dawn is my go to for cleaning my dishes. It not only cleans my dishes but knowing it's anti bacterial I know my dishes are free of germs. It cuts away grease like no other products I have seen. Dawn Platinum Bleach Alternative Dishwashing Liquid Morning Mist 40

A little goes a long way . WE don’t have a dishwasher so getting dishes really clean can be hard at times . Dawn really does cut thru the grease and grime . Leave some our dishes clean and pretty. More expensive than other dawns but also comes in a pump . 

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never experienced a product like this before. A baked on crusty casserole pan comes completely clean when soaked for 5 min. in Dawn. Baked on cheese, baking dishes, etc., come out like new. Great for my barbecue grill racks, even after ribs, I soak them in the laundry tub and wipe them off with a sponge, and they are brand new. Great for any spatters on the grill etc.

I bought a new bottle of dawn orginal that had the new scent. It's awful!!! I put it outside for my husband to use. Thank goodness i was able to find a bottle of the original scent. If they keep this scent, I will not be purchasing dawn anymore and I'm not going to use the fragrance free version. Why would change a good thing. Just keep the original and add a line called new perfume scent. Ugh!!

The new strongly scented version is pretty nasty. It has a very strong scent. It used to smell mild and clean. Now it smells like I'm walking through the detergent aisle in the grocery store. Is this what they are now using on wildlife? I can't image people want perfume on their dishes, wildlife, or anything else. Now I need to figure out how to throw away a large bottle I just bought of the "new scent". I will be only buying the free and clear from now on.

The SMELL! It's terrible. I used to be a Dawn Platinum enthusiast. I recently filled my bottle with soap a new refill that I purchased in January 2023, and it smells so bad. The product seems to work the same, but my nose can't handle it. I am hoping I can find a large refill size of a product that works just as well without the smell. #bringbacktheoldscent
