Disposal Restrictions?!?
I just opened the multi-pack of Kleenex Ultra Soft Tissues purchased at COSTCO. I haven't made a point of buying the Ultra Soft in the past, but this was the only package of pop-up cubes available. I am disturbed by the graphic on the pull-out box top which I interpret to mean that these tissues are not to be disposed by flushing. I don't find any further explanation of the restriction on the package or on the website. Please explain.
Thanks for reaching out. You are correct, the symbol that you are seeing does mean that the tissues cannot be flushed. We recommend that you dispose of the tissue in the garbage. If you have further questions regarding the flushability of any Kleenex Brand product, we encourage you to contact our Consumer Care Team at https://www.kleenex.com/contactus.aspx or by phone 1-888-955-3363 (Monday through Friday 8 am - 4 pm Central Time). We hope this helps!
So soft
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It felt very soft and thick, did not have to fold it a bunch of times to ensure my finger didn't go through. My son happened to be sick this week and he said they felt soft and not tickly on his nose.
Always high-quality and very soft. I love how strong these are and how well they can handle any of the issues that car for a tissue. They may be a little more expensive than the generic or the other national brand but they are worth every penny and yes I recommend them
Soft, strong, in a cute box
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoyed these a lot! Very soft and also strong enough to hold up to runny noses. The square box has a cute colorful pattern, which is cheery and summery. The whole family approved! Our only gripe is that they don’t seem particularly ecofriendly - would prefer recycled pulp or bamboo.
These are my go to when I buy tissues. The packaging is unique andI especially like the Kleenex with Aloe or Kleenex with Vicks when our family has a cold. I have tried other brands to save money and I am left with chaffing and an extremely red nose.
just try it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Here is what you can expect from these tissues. Prior to buying these tissues, I was looking at reviews and the sales copy to all the brands out there. I was so disappointed in the lack of info, so I made a promise to myself that after I ordered these, I was going to truly test them. The box then arrived and the fun began. The first test I had to do was the smell test, because I have a really sensitive smell and wanted to see if these were going to make me feel fresh or dirty or chemically overwhelmed. So when they arrived, I opened up the box and did a deep sniff. I was pleased at this phase, no real scent, not even the smell of paper. What they did in order to make this happen I do not know, but I was impressed. So the next step was I took out around 10 tissues and then placed them on my face for a good minute, again I was really impressed on lack of smell. So on the scent test, I am giving Kleenex flying “A’s” for minimal scent and non-paper or chemical smell. The next thing I wanted to test, because I know no one has tested this before, was the box. I hate when you get ½ way down a box of tissues, reach your hand in and it collapses. When you have allergies all the time and you are irritable from a stuffed or runny nose, you just want things built well around you verses cheap and flimsy. So I removed all the tissues and then I rammed my hand in and out of the box 30 times. To say the least, I was really impressed how the box held up. As I waited for my wife to get ready for a dinner party, I fulfilled my curiosity to how strong is the box. So I took the empty box and placed books on it, one at a time. Want to guess how many books it held before it collapsed? If you said 43 then you are correct! It could have likely gone higher, but as I kept stacking books on it, I lost my patience and towards the end I slammed books on it. When it collapsed, my wife walked in and asked what I was doing, she then shook her head and left after I explained. Although I know there are curious people out there like me, so someone on Amazon will be happy I did this test. So for strength of box and quality, another “A” is given. I then did a visual test of the box. Here it got straight up “F”. I live in a modern designed house and no matter where I stuck the box of tissues, it stood out like a sore thumb. Now the “F” is for visual effect compared to my décor, but for the person who has to sneeze and has a nose filled of snot, the stand out design that catches your eye would likely cause them to give the design an “A”, because they could quickly find the tissues and prevent a mess. The next test was tissue strength. I again was impressed. The problem is most people take a tissue and blow in it and say, “Good” or “Bad”. To me this is too simple and not realistic. Unless you got tissues at a dollar store, most tissues are strong during the first blow. I wanted a real world test. A test that fits more of reality than a 30 second commercial. So what I did was I put my cat directly on my face and sniffed in his dander (yes, I took one for the team for this test). I then teared up and snot came running out like a champ. Well in the real world, you’re grabbing a tissue and blowing your nose, then 10 minutes later your nose shoots out snot again and you need another tissues. So in this scenario, I blew my nose and then stuck it in my pocket, something my wife always threatens to divorce me over because it grosses her out. 10 minutes later I grabbed the cat again and sniffed the dander, taking another hit for the team. My nose flowed like a river. I took the tissue used prior and blew my snot into it for the second time. I was surprised. Not only did the tissue handle the second round of snot, my hands remained clean and I felt like I was giving back to mother earth as I was successfully able to use a tissue twice, reducing waste. Another “A” for the Kleenex brand. Softness after blowing was my next observation. A lot of times when blowing, I find that my nose feels dry and wind chapped from the tissue. In the case of the Kleenex, my nose was a little sensitive, but it did not feel too dry. I was impressed, because a lot of times I will use my wife’s t-shirt to blow my nose, because it’s soft. The tissue felt far better and for some reason my wife was glad with this observation. Another “A” was given. Another item I saw in the description of the tissues above was “Flat Tissue Boxes”. So I had to test. I took out my level and placed it on the box. For a tissue box, I gave it another “A”, as it passed the flat test. While testing this feature out though, I became real curious and searched for about 30 minutes for a non-flat and preferably round tissue box. I failed at this endeavor, so if you are someone who knows of this hidden secret of a round tissue box, can you please post below in the comments! So the flat rating is another “A” for the overall product. Another test was the wind test. How fast could I throw air through the tissue before it broke? There is nothing worse than sneezing into a tissue, to have it tear and then fluids go flying through. Anytime that occurs, bystanders always give you a weird look. The first test I did again was sniff the cat then look at the sun. I was impressed, because this actually caused me to sneeze. When I did this, all 3 times the tissue held up and did not tear. Although I blew pretty fast and hard, I know others out there can do it better, so I had to take the test to the next level. I used a hair dryer and the tissue held up. I then used compressed air used for cleaning PCs and the tissue still did not tear. I felt a little defeated, so I turned on my air compressor at 100 PSI and finally won. So for overall strength in natural circumstances, Kleenex gets another “A”. My final test was the dust test. I hate blowing your nose and then seeing tons of tissue dust in the air. I often notice this in bright sunlight, so I waited until the early afternoon hours and took the test to my car. The car was perfect, because it was closed in and no air flow. I blew my nose 5 times and each time I violently pulled the tissues out of the box prior, trying my best create dust. There was tissue dust in the air, but it was minimal. As a result, I did not feel like I was breathing in confetti and was pretty satisfied overall. For tissue dust control, I gave Kleenex a “B+”. Okay, my eyes are watering from the cat still, so I am going to summarize my other observations up quickly. During my experimentation I went through 5 boxes of tissues. Besides the first time I pulled out a tissue from a fresh opened box, the tissues always came out cleanly and one at a time. During my testing I did taste the tissues out of curiosity and it had a very clean flavor to it and did not make me want to throw up. I recommend not eating them, but sometimes when you inhale in to blow, you get the tissue in your mouth. Overall this is a great product and done well. I give this 5 stars for a daily use tissue. I did not have a flu and have to use them for 3 days straight, so realize my bias is towards daily use at this time. I received this product free.
We appreciate your thorough review of our Kleenex Ultra Soft Tissues. We're glad to hear they worked out well in all of the points of your observation. Thanks and take care!
no comparison to the previous 'ultra soft/doux'
I do not like the new ultra soft tissues because the tissues are smaller in size, they have a thinner ply, and the count is much less!! Instead of making something cheaper and of less quality why not just keep the ultra soft/doux and raise the price????

Love Kleenex
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Kleenex tissues are so soft and gentle on my nose. Whenever I’m sick I always end up getting a raw irritated nose from constantly blowing it, but with the Kleenex I had minimal irritation. They also aren’t thin so it downed make a mess and tear apart like other tissues. It’s a great product.
I love my Kleenex
As a member of Crowdtap, I am providing this review. I have been a Kleenex user for years and love all the new designs and options that are available now. My home is always stocked up with Kleenex Everyday tissue because you never know when you might need it. It is soft and feels good on our skin.
Sounds like you are always prepared! Healthy wishes to you and your family during this cold and flu season!
Stick with the original! No other tissue brand is as gentle as Kleenex. As much as a product like this is overlooked on a day to day basis, all it takes is one bad cold to remind you how important it is to have a comfortable tissue product stocked at home.
