The mattress lives up to everything they claim. We loved it right out of the packaging. There was no off gassing nor any break in period. The gel top makes it very soft but the underlying foam gives good support. I would have given them 5 stars if it hadn't taken so long to get it. I suppose the demand is outpacing their supply.

My wife and I love this bed after only a few days of sleeping on it and we already wake up free of back pain; We are both under 30 and couldn't take waking up in pain anymore. I also LOVE how cool it keeps you. My wife and I are complete opposites when it came to sleeping temp she use to go to sleep cold and wake up sweating every morning and I always had a hard time getting to sleep becuause I was always too warm. Now we are both happy and don't have those issues any more. Just wish I had gotten it a week later and gotten the free mattress protector with it...oh well.

I have had the king size Purple mattress for almost 18 MONTHS now. I gave myself plenty of time to adjust to this mattress, break it in, as well as started living a healthy and active lifestyle. Since day one this mattress has been a nightmare. Right off the bat, I was really sore sleeping on this mattress every night ( I'm 26 years old, 5'9 and not overweight ). I toss and turn, wake up with sore and numb parts of my body (arms, shoulders, hands, back). Obviously after buying a brand new mattress I did not want to turn around and buy another, so I bought the Purple Sheets after being told those may help. The sheets are extremely soft, and comfortable, but 1/10 durability, as they will rip and tear the first wash ( have had multiple sets and all have done this ). All in all, this is a terrible mattress. It leaves me sore everyday, toss and turn all night, I wake up with back pain that dissipates shortly after getting up (since owning this mattress). Do yourself a favor and save the money and invest it towards a mattress that is going to give you that true rest and recovery you're seeking.

I researched mattress much more than most people probably do. I liked the idea of the technologies behind this mattress and compared it to other bed in a box. Reviews said purple was fantastic and also great for side sleepers. I like it a lot but make sure you get stretchy sheets, as the reviews would say. Jersey knit works fine.

I have had my purple 3 for a month now, I still have not adjusted to it and don't sleep well because of back pain. I was so excited to get my purple bed so I can finally be comfortable and sleep! Not happening I am unable to sleep through the night and my pain has not subsided. Very disappointed.

After years of poor sleep on a $4000+ select comfort bed, we made the switch to Purple. It took a few days to get used to the new mattress, but now my wife and I both love the Purple mattress. We had drastically different sleep settings before, now we both love the simplicity and support from the Purple. Well worth the switch! And cheaper...

This mattress is nothing short of wonderful. My wife and I couldn't be happier with our purchase and its rare we say this once the novelty of a purchase has worn off - This mattress is all utility, forget the novelty. We sink into this mattress every night and do not move until the morning. After our first few nights with the mattress we actually had to question whether or not there was such a thing as sleeping too hard. We decided there wasn't. We have slept on our Purple King size mattress for 7 months now and this mattress has changed our lives. Before our purple, my partner tossed and turned all night keeping both of us awake - not to mention being sweaty during the summer and waking up with stiff bodies from sleeping wrong. Now, we sleep soundly through the entire night and this mattress kept us cool all summer long. It is so comfortable that when I travel for work or vacations all I can think about is I wish this mattress was a Purple. I would recommend getting purple sheets with your mattress.

We have had this mattress for almost a year. We tried to return it within the 100 days, but they didn't have a way to pick it up so it was up to us to donate it to get the refund. We couldn't find anyone anywhere that would take it, so the 100 days came and went and now we are stuck with it. I had never experienced back pain from a mattress until I slept on this one. It makes my lower back and ribs hurt so bad that it wakes me every single night even after months of use. When I get out of this bed my feet are tingly and it doesn't seem to matter what position I lay in, so I can only imagine the damage this mattress is doing to my spine.

This is the best bed we've ever slept on - period! He (the mattress) has now been permanently adopted by my wife and I. She named him Barney which seemed appropriate if you are into purple things. After years of hard work as a fire truck captain and two back surgeries, I've managed to find the perfect night's sleep with my new friend Barney! Barney takes care of pleasing my wife too - I mean what pal. After all, a happy wife equals and happy life! Barney has found his forever home!!!
