My husband had wanted a new mattress for quite some time now. The problem was our current mattress was a little more than 2 year. It was an mlily memory foam mattress that started out great, but over time you began to feel indentations where you slept. It was becoming uncomfortable but it wasn't that old and I didn't want to spend the money. Going on year two my back really started hurting and I could barely sleep through the night. I read a lot of the reviews for the purple mattress and they were mixed, but for the most part positive and the reasons varied. One of the reasons I was wary was my husband ordered the purple pillow at Christmas and it smelled for two months. It was a rather strong plastic smell that I couldn't stand. I finally caved and ordered the purple mattress. It took about a week to get here and was delivered in its 'small' box. We opened the box, unwrapped it and rolled it out. It was ready to go. No odor either, which I was very happy about. I can tell you from the first night I slept on purple my back stopped hurting immediately. It's an interesting sensation because it does have a soft feeling when you first crawl into bed, but it's very supportive while you are laying down and I am one who needs a firm mattress. I sleep very well now and don't toss and turn like I used to. It is cooler than the memory foam mattress, but I feel it's slighly warmer than a conventional mattress. Not a deal breaker as I'm always hot anyway! One final note, I am about the pickiest person there is when it comes to mattresses and a real Goldilocks, four mattresses in less than 10 years. Some of the reviews mentioned they could feel the grid and I will say that's true and you do realize it's different than a conventional mattress especially if you run your fingers overs it, but it's so comfortable when you are laying down I don't notice the grid at all. We got the 2" purple and I am finally getting a good nights rest! For us the purple mattress gets five stars!

I'm still trying the mattress to see how it feels. I've had a bad shoulder for a while and I was hoping the mattress would keep me from needing to sleep on that side by offering more comfort on the other, but I think it's just my shoulder. It's a great mattress, I'm just not yet convinced it's the perfect one just yet. The sheets, however, are indeed perfect.

I wake up every morning as a new person. I used to have back problem but after using purple bed the back pain has gone. I would definitely recommend it to family and friends! It is one of my best investment I made. Your body heals while you sleep and with purple bed helps!

I have to say that Purple mattress is one of the best companies that I have ever dealt with. Not only is their mattress well made but it's comfort is honestly unbelievably great! Their power platform is quiet, sturdy and very well made. I have for years slept on a mattress that has destroyed my body. When people say that sleeping on a Purple mattress is like sleeping on a cloud it is absolutely true. I had a couple of slight issues with ordering and delivery but Purple went above and beyond to make sure that I was a satisfied customer...they did more than was necessary without me even asking...like I said...above and beyond. Definitely, choose Purple for your mattress and then buy Purple accessories. I don't think that you'll regret it.

We love our purple mattress. I bought mine after a hip replacement and before a knee replacement, these beds just can't be beat for "floating" you gently on a raft of comfort. I've just bought another one, and my son and daughter in law bought one and my friends bought one.... We are all happy.

I was hoping the soreness/aching I feel from my purple mattress would just be something I would have to push through for a few weeks to break it in, but almost having it for 2 months now, this mattress, unfortunately, does not do for me what it says it will. I'm realizing my body type needs a perfect mix between a soft and firm, and this mattress is too firm for my upper back/neck issues. It's made me now have lower back and hip pain too which I wasn't struggling with prior to buying.

I was very excited to get this mattress and it felt very comfortable. However, each morning of the 5 days I slept on it I woke with such severe spine and back pain it was hard to walk. I am disappointed that I will have to return it for the sake of my spine health.

I just purchased a California King Platform base. The reviews all said that the shipping wait would be 6 weeks or more. I did hesitate a bit, but the unit seemed so superior that the wait would be worthwhile. However, I must say that instead of six weeks it arrived in six days. It is a fantastic product - thank you!

I've always owned high end, name brand mattress because I thought I was buying the best. This mattress shames them all, I literally have zero discomfort when I wake up. I get full deep sleep, no more tired mornings. This is honest, I'm not blowing smoke, I will never change.

I am so so so happy to have my Purple mattress!! With my previous mattress, I would wake up with so much back pain and was just overall so achy! With the Purple, I have ZERO pain!! I was starting to think that wasn't a possibility... The reason I say "So good, it's bad!" is because my husband has always been an early riser. Even if he was very tired, he could not sleep in past 9am. With this mattress, he is sleeping in until noon!! lol. We are very rested these days. Although the mattress was out of our price range, we steadily saved for what felt like forever until we were able to get it. And it was absolutely worth it!!!!! My ONLY complaint is that it is unbelievably heavy! Not that I'm going to be carrying it around or moving anytime soon. But boy, is it heavy! But I wouldn't choose a different mattress. Wonderful!
