This bed, is a purple miracle. I used to have such severe pain waking up in my hips & back that I would have to do an hours worth of stretching while in the bed, before I could get out of it. When I did get up, I couldn't stand straight up for a half hour, forget bending or kneeling. I had trouble going to sleep, like 4 hours of restlessness a night, even with sleep meds, I didn't even dream for years it was such bad sleep. Buying a new spring form mattress didn't help either, had a new one for a year before I found Purple's ad, and relentlessly nagged my husband to give it a try. After I bought this bed, about a week after, my knees & upper back had no pain, after two weeks, I could get out of bed straight away every morning but still had hip pain, after 3 weeks I can fly out of bed like a Ninja when I'm running late & not suffer one consequence. My husband works 24-37 hour shifts and is constantly doing heavy lifting & bending, his back pain has ceased since we have this mattress, he now swears by the very thing he wasn't so sure about us getting. We have since ordered the platform base for our bed, and even a base as a gift, plus 2 pillows. I will say I did have a slight issue with the bed sinking in 2 spots, but over a chat with the service department and providing pictures for them, they replaced our mattress in a flash and even let us donate the old one to Habitat for Humanity. No hassle, no nitpicking, just great friendly service. The sheets are awesomely comfortable too. I don't ever want another kind of mattress, eventually I want to get my kids all one of their own too. It's THAT good. The only thing that is remotely disappointing is the wait for it to arrive, I wish shipping was faster, but ..all good things come to those who wait.

Yes! Before buying the original Purple Mattress, I wasn't getting much sleep and would have backaches throughout my day at work. After having the mattress just a couple of week I've already felt a difference. It's helped with both my back and restlessness.

We've been sleeping on a purple now for 2.5 weeks and so far we absolutely love this mattress AND the sheets. Most comfortable sheets I've ever slept in. Just wish the new thicker beds were not so expensive as I probably would've done a Purple 3 for the thicker Purple layer, but we still love the original that we got.

I was disappointed in my travel version of the seat pad. I intended to use it both at work and at my desk at home and found that it doesn't really fit and support well. Perhaps a thicker version would be beneficial but this one failed. I ceased brining it to work with me since I was more uncomfortable with it than without it.

I can't say that this mattress is any better in quality than my mattress prior to my purchase of the purple mattress. I have noticed with The Purple Mattress that I am waking up more frequently in the night than I have with my previous mattresses. I know that The Purple Mattress is firmer than I was led to believe watching the commercials and from the reviews. The plastic gel doesn't allow for body heat to be dispersed and I know that is why I am waking up more frequently. I don't believe that I made the best choice buying this mattress over a competitors and I wouldn't try out Purples more expensive products. I am not convinced they are an improvement from my experience with The Purple Mattress. One positive is I don't feel my spouse move and change positions, but this is a feature that isn't unique to the purple mattress. The only unique feature of the purple mattress is the packaging the mattress comes shipped in.

My husband and I are different weights and sizes and we both love this mattress. I can get through the day without back pain, which I normally end up having to take a muscle relaxer for spasms. My husband has always "slept hot" and now wakes up in the morning dry, not over heated and sweaty, which has also improved his migraines. We are very pleased with this purchase. Thank you Purple!!

I use to sleep on a latex mattress but it was always a little too soft. When it came time for a new mattress I went to the other end of the spectrum and purchased a firm mattress. It was supportive but way too hard. I decided to give purple a try and I've never looked back. When you first settle in for bed it feels very firm. I initially thought it was too firm and that I just spent money for no difference. Then I realized that every surface of my body was being cradled by the purple layer on top and because of this there weren't any pressure points. It was evenly distributed all over my body. I told 2 other friends at work about purple and they both now have them as well. One of them bought another mattress for his RV even. Thank you purple.

My back still hurts a lot during my sleep, I have herniated disks, thought the mattress was going to help but not at all. It's been almost a month since we bought it so we're gonna give it more time. I do think it's better to have a no metal springs mattress.

We've had the mattress for about a month, and my husband and I still lie down sometimes and say how much we love this bed! As a side sleeper, my spine and hips have so much more support and comfort now compared to our spring mattress. It's firm for me but soft and comfy enough for my husband. He has been relieved how much better his back feels now. 100% worth it!

I have just swapped from a very expensive and very nice mattress that I have used for years. One of my biggest issues was how hot I would feel in the middle of the night. This mattress keeps me cool and really is comfortable. I have experience shoulder pain for years and could no longer sleep on my side. I'm able to actually lay on my side longer with this mattress and really feel comfortable when laying flat on my back. I wake up in the morning and get right out of bed feeling better instead of before when I would stay in bed and have to force myself up feeling exhausted still. Unfortunately for me, I bought this as it was the latest product and a month or so later they released three newer models that are all quite a bit more expensive and supposedly more comfortable. I do wish these were available at the time but I likely won't be in the market for a new mattress anytime soon. One other small issue is with the thickness of the mattress. They say you don't need a box spring with the Platform base but you can feel some of the supports when climbing on the bed or sitting up. I think a small box spring would fix this issue but I didn't order one as it was listed as not needed. I really would love to list this as a 5 star rating but there were a few small issues with this mattress. Some of these may have been corrected with the new version that released right after my purchase.
