This is literally the first bed I have ever owned ... Sadly I haven't even been able to enjoy it the way I would like to, but every time I do, i pretty much zonk out within minutes, no matter how I land. It's amazing! I was sorta skeptical about buying a mattress on the interwebs, but I trusted reviews and am sehr pleased. shipping was reasonable and it was all ready to go within minutes of slicing open the package. I do brag to my friends, but they have no idea! Buy this bed if youre looking to zonk out with little effort.

I can't stop telling everyone about how much I love our Purple Mattress! To say our previous mattress was old would be the understatement of the century. For the past 17 years we've been sleeping on a coil spring monster that hurt every pressure point and left us tossing all night. We've had our Purple mattress for a month and I'm waking up every day without back pain for the first time in years. Everyone in the family loves it. Even the dogs have started sleeping on the bed again. We're about to go all purple: pillows and sheets as well. We love our Purple!

Pros: The purple mattress doesn't hold heat as much as the temperpedic-style mattresses. The layers of the mattress make it feel soft then firmer when pressing down on it. Cons: I'm about 300lbs. After a night of sleep, the mattress no longer supports well. Despite the advertising where weight doesn't matter; it does. I've also noticed the mattress is already showing signs of 'welling" (not coming back to flat) after six months. The compression that allows shipping becomes a problem for mattress wear over time & the mattress doesn't recover from repeated compression (sleeping on it). Would I buy it again? Probably not. I prefer a firmer mattress that will hold up longer.

A coworker of mine recommended this mattress after I told him I work up with back pain. He said that he used to have the same issue and that he couldn't sleep through the night. So I tried it out, knowing I could get my money back if I didn't like it. That was about 6 months ago. Still love it. Didn't get hot in the summer and stay warm in the winter. Can't wait till I buy the platform.

This is the most expensive mattress we've ever purchased. After nearly a year of going back and forth, we finally purchased a 3" mattress topper. The Purple mattress was just too firm. We were hoping for the "cloud-like" feeling as advertised, but it's very firm. We weigh 130 and 175 lbs and we just don't sink into it at all.

We had an old spring mattress that had been passed down a couple generations and used at random. Thought it was alright. But we not have Purple as a comparison point. I look forward to laying down in it because it's so comfortable. My wife used to get random joint pain and no longer does. Very good product.

I had been using a Tempur-Pedic mattress and thought it was the best, then "She Who Abandoned Me" took it with her when she left me. You ad came to my attention just as I was in the process of searching for a replacement. Though your ad was convincing, I still had some doubts. Finally the mattress arrived. I fortunately had a friend with me at the time....MAN that mattress is heavy! Got it installed and my friend, who sleeps only in a recliner because he "can't sleep on a bed due to back problems" tried it out and was amazed. He couldn't believe how wonderful it felt. I might have created another customer for you. Anyway, I finally had the opportunity to sleep on it that night and WOW!!! I was convinced that there could not possibly be anything better in the world! A couple of weeks passed and the free "stretchy sheets" arrived. I washed them, and put them on the mattress. That night proved me wrong...there WAS something better than just the Purple Mattress....add the stretchy sheets and you have about a 30% improvement in the sleep quality...don't know how sheets can do that, but those do!!! I have sleep apnea and even with my machine I could never get a decent nights sleep on any other mattress. Thank you so very much for putting the "Purple Lining" into my life!!!

My wife and I are baby boomers. We've slept on upper end coil spring mattresses for years. When the first 'memory foam" mattress came to the market, we ordered one. It was like sleeping on a gym pad. Disappointed (and sore) back we went to another good quality coil spring mattress and were comfortable with it for years. Now, much like us, this mattress became weak & saggy. Our sleep suffered and the morning aches and pains grew stronger. Clearly it was time to replace. I researched various mattress types and brands for about 3 months learning more about mattresses than I ever wanted to. Coil spring, gel foam, memory foam, hybrids, etc. - the whole list of opportunities. All claimed to be the most comfortable, best to support your body and durable. I really struggled with buying a mattress on the internet without trying it out in the store but after looking at the customer reviews and comments about customer service with the 100 night test we decided to give it try. Purple was the only truly unique product on the market and the only real new innovation in this industry in a lot of years. Still skeptical, I ordered one of the Purple chair cushions first and we all tried it out. The final determination was made when I set the cushion on our bed for a minute and our French bulldog instantly curled up on it and went to sleep. This dog is a professional sleeper so his endorsement was good enough for us. BTW- you folks at Purple might want to expand into the pet bed market next. I think you'd find a lot of pet-loving buyers there. I ordered a king mattress on Jan 1, 2017. Purple did communicate that they were backlogged with orders from Black Friday & the Holidays. I told my wife that such demand was a good thing because they are obviously selling a lot of units, many by word of mouth I assume from satisfied customers. They've only been in the mattress game for the last 12 months so I'm sure they are dealing with some growth issues. The mattress finally arrived Jan 19. Yes, it was heavy & bulky but it unpacked easily and instantly went to full size when unrolled. No wait, no odor- just instant bed! I had read some reviews that said it may take up to a week to get use to the feel of this new mattress but not for us. From night one- we absolutely LOVE this mattress. We are so impressed we ordered one for our son & his wife and they are anxious for it to arrive. I wrote this review because the vast majority of those I saw during my research were from younger folks and I just wanted to tell my fellow boomers & other more senior folks that this mattress is for us too. Purple cost is in the upper end for the 'mattress in the box via internet" market. Maybe one or two others more expensive and then you get to the whole Tempurpedic & Sleep Number thing costing what a small car would. I would argue that the Purple technology is what sets it apart from all of the others and is clearly worth the price (assuming it holds up). Bottom line- I absolutely recommend this mattress to anyone for who a good night's sleep is important!

When I first got my Purple Mattress I was a little concerned. It wasn't love at first lay... I didn't sink into it, it wasn't cushy in the way I was used to. But I quickly discovered that these qualities I usually looked for is what was killing my back. I've suffered from sciatic pain since I was fifteen years old. But after thirty nights on this mattress, I have had a normal life! This mattress really does align your spine like they claim. Although it isn't comfortable at first and my back did need that adjustment time, this was the perfect t choice for me. I'm pain free! I'm so glad my fiancé and I spent the extra money on it. We both are in love and will never go back!

I've had my purple 2 weeks and I really enjoy sleeping on it. I c wake up at 1:45 am to go to work. I'm usually awake before my alarm goes off. Since I got my purple I have a hard time getting up because it's so comfortable. So glad I finally got it. I wish I would have waited a couple weeks to order because now their giving a free seat cushion with their order. I would recommend getting one.
