I have been sleeping great. My old mattress gave me aches in the hips but that all went away sleeping on the Purple mattress. I took a long time deciding what mattress to buy but I made the right decision with this one! I wish I didn't wait so long to get it.

I knew after the first night sleep that the original Purple mattress was a keeper. The feel of the mattress is soft, yet it is supportive. As a side sleeper, it's necessary to have a soft bed, and it has to have some give to the mattress. A bed that's too soft without support is not good for side sleepers, and the original Purple has the right balance. I'd be curious to find out how well the new Purple mattress performs?

It sleeps cool and is very responsive. The stretchy sheets are essential to get the form-fitting effect from the mattress. At 6'2" 195 lbs with somewhat broad shoulders I would probably ideally go with the newer 3 or 4 if price wasn't a factor because my butt and shoulders are hitting the firmer foam in the middle when on my back and side, respectively.

The bed seems pretty comfortable, but we wish it were thicker. We like the pillows, but they are really heavy, which is weird when moving them around while getting ready for bed and while making the bed in the morning. Not crazy about the sheets as they are really stretchy. We actually have tried the fitted sheet on the bed and a regular top sheet to cover us. That seems more comfortable. The jury is still out on whether we are 100% satisfied with everything.

First, let me just get out the way that I haven't woken up with a stiff shoulder, or back or any of those normal morning pains that I've gotten so used to in my 30 years of life. So purple is as advertised, in my opinion, when it comes to comfort and support in all the right places to maintain neutral spine. The other selling point for me was sleeping cool. I get HOT. I would soak in my old memory foam mattress to the point where it would be soppy on my side of the bed. I knew that would have to change, and I was instantly sold on the idea of air flow underneath me to maintain coolness. I slept cool for the first week, but lately been getting hot. I'm switching to the purple stretchy sheet (originally had a parachute fitted sheet on it-amazing btw) to see if that changes anything. Another tidbit, this is my first king size bed so I don't know what I should be expecting, but I didn't anticipate my feet to dangle so closely to the edge of the bed? I'm only 5'11" so not very used to that, at least I don't think I remember that on my old queen. One more point and I'm outta here. The density. I bought this with the platform steel base, and I was underwhelmed either at the base design or the mattress density-can't decide which. You definitely don't want to plop down on your mattress aggressively, because the mattress has some give to it and you'll feel the top side of that steel support rod on your tailbone or back. It won't be a direct sharp pain, but you'll definitely thud and feel resistance. I guess "don't jump on your new bed" is always a good solution, but I felt it that thud just by plopping down from standing next to it. I'm 175lbs, I imagine that's light by mattress capacity standards, so if I'm having this issue I can't help but wonder what heavier individuals are going through. In all honestly, the caveats are minor but worth noting. Big picture, I've been sleeping like a gem, and waking up feeling amazing. I would definitely make this purchase again and highly recommend anybody who's curious to give it a shot.

I just got my Purple 3. There are so many mattress companies out there now. Which one do you choose?? I literally was doing research since early Summer. My old mattress was about 12 ys old and the Kingsdown and the body dent that developed had me rolling literally uphill every time I tried to move.. I'm a side sleeper, and change sides throughout the night. I'm also a bigger guy, about 275lbs. The first few nights on the new Purple I knew my bod was going to half to re-learn some things. I'm a week and half in and I can say, what a difference. It sleeps so cool compared to my old mattress, I'm looking for another blanket to put on the top of the bed at night. The mattress is no responsive as you move or roll. Off gassing, was minor but its not bad either.. The set up and the taking away of my old mattress to be properly disposed of was the clincher for me compared to the other mattresses I was looking at. Edge support is much better than I thought it would be too. After only two weeks, I couldn't be happier.

I am a HOT sleeper. Every mattress I have ever had creates a hot spot, so I would move around a lot. The Purple mattress is much cooler - it can still get "warm", but I am sleeping better. We did end up purchasing the PURPLE Platform base which is very stable and fairly high off the ground, so great for storage. I think I can say - I love this bed. I move very infrequently now, so I would imagine that means I am getting better sleep. I am so glad to finally have a found a great bed!

So I was skeptical 100% about this mattress but the results were clear in the first week. I read this and that between purple and ghost bed and I didn't know what to choose but since it offered a month guarantee or return it I said it couldn't hurt. At the first 3 days, i felt like this was uncomfortable and not what I thought my body didn't adjust right. That actually was purple realigning our bodies to how it should be! I was waking up cracking my back neck arms everything that my girlfriend thought I died. With purple, i would instinctively just try to crack my neck and back when I wake up and not one crack. On the first two days, this bothered me like how? why? and then it hit me purple is fixing me up day 1. Ever since it's been a month almost and I sleep cool, calm, and instant with no pains whatsoever. If you do feel pains like I did the first week it's your body adjusting back to how it should be. Purple was the best choice for me for a while and I will definitely get the pillows and other things in the future!

My old mattress was less than a year old, but absolutely horrible. I preferred the couch to the bed. Not anymore! From the first night this mattress has been outstanding. I was skeptical at first but decided to take the plunge and it was worth every penny. I would definitely buy a Purple mattress again.

When my wife got pregnant, she really pushed for a new mattress to help improve her sleep during pregnancy. I had wanted to try out a purple mattress and after purchasing one from a local company both of us began sleeping better immediately. I stopped going to the chiropractor for monthly visits, stopped needing full-body massages to address sore muscles and knew buying the mattress was the difference. We even came back and purchased a second purple mattress for our guest bedroom, great for times when one of us has to sleep close to the baby's room and change diapers/rock back to sleep our 1yr old without waking up the other person. Great investment.
