I was very excited to receive my Purple mattress. I had tried a mattress from the Nectar company only to return it because the mattress retained indentation or body impressions. I am sorry to say that Purple mattress is no different. I sleep alone & on one side lot of the time & while Purple is a completely different material it does not appear to be a better product.

I was reeled in by the ad campaign, which says a lot because I haven't had my interest in a product perked from an ad in years (kudos to the marketing team)! I was however, skeptical. I know many people who have bought "the next great mattress" a hundred times over just to be constantly disappointed. I didn't want to join that club! I scoured the internet seeing what people thought and it was generally positive, so I took the leap of faith. It is amazing. It is everything I could've hoped it to be! The texture of the surface took some getting used to, but once I got over that, it is the most comfortable mattress (or most comfortable... anything!) I have ever had the pleasure to use, much less own! My fiancé loves how comfortable. She always used to do her work from home on the couch, but now she lays in bed simply cause its so comfortable! Our dog was very confused by the texture, but he too has learned to love it! The mattress doesn't transfer motion at all, so even when I am jumping over my fiancé to go to work early in the morning, she doesn't wake up! And she is a very light sleeper! My fiancé does, however, think this mattress keeps her hotter than our older mattress. We have yet to confirm wether or not this is the mattress or the new sheets, so it may not even be the mattress! All in all, 100% satisfied with this mattress. If you are considering getting this mattress, I would certainly say do it! I couldn't be happier.

When I moved into my new apartment I went with a pillow top from a mattress clearance store at a comparable price. Big mistake. I had already been having some stiffness and occasional back pain on the mattress I had been sleeping on four previous years. As a large man (then 300lbs now 350lbs) mattresses tend to sink in some after time which negates any support/alignment. I was hoping to get three years out of my new mattress, however, I only got about 3 months out of it before I started experiencing daily back pain upon waking. It got so bad it started waking me up in the middle of my sleep. I could barely get out of bed most mornings. I was skeptical about buying a "bed-in-a-box" and from what I could tell after days of research didn't think they could hold up to my weight. Eventually it got so bad that I couldn't continue with the same mattress anymore. I looked at a few options and purple caught my eye again. I was hesitant because of a few reviews I had read previously about long delivery times and a lingering smell. Then I read a well written review by a fellow military veteran that just resonated with me. He carried weight also and could not seem to find a solution to morning back pain. Purple worked for him. I was desperate enough that I ordered my mattress right away. It actually arrived before the scheduled date and I got a free set of sheets to boot (surprisingly these are the best bed sheets I have ever had - don't wrinkle - stay taut and tucked!). There was no lingering smell from the mattress (I washed the sheets before putting them on the bed). I could tell that there was a difference fairly quickly. It only took a few nights for the stiffness to reside. One month later, I now wake up pain free. The mattress compressed a little bit under my weight (which I expected), but the nature of the top layer keeps me from actually sinking in and does exactly what it claims. It would be silly for me to say that this bed is the solution to your back pain because everyone is different. At my weight I have to be careful not to "plop" down because I can hit the supporting frame (a wooden platform type to keep the bed low to the ground). But when I lay down at night I no longer dread waking up and barely being able to stand let alone roll over to get out of bed. The technology behind the top layer is awesome. They send you a little sample that you can press on. When you put your finger down the only part that compresses or moves is directly under your finger. Thank you to the makers who thought to incorporate this into a mattress. I am forever grateful for my Purple mattress. Now for another peaceful nights sleep :)

For years I have slept on hand me down beds from friends and family, memory foam mattresses on the floor and couches. For a stint I would sleep next to a heater without a mattress. I would sleep, I thought, quite nicely, even on uncomfortable surfaces. This mattress changed my perspective on quality sleep. I finally had enough and decided to buy my first bed. Oh boy, the choices I had were endless. Almost paralyzing but Purple caught my attention. Not only does it look fantastic but it seemed the most comfortable. Me being a skeptical man, I was hesitant but multiple reviews on YouTube convinced me to try it. All I can say is, I am very pleased with the comfort, quality and appearance of this mattress! My sleep has never been better! I had some delays with the shipping but Purple kept me up to date almost every day.

First, the instructions tell you to use the special cutting device to rip open the purple bag. The special cutting device and instructions were INSIDE the purple bag. By the time I found them, it was too late to use them. I would suggest putting both in a pouch on the outside of the purple bag with a big arrow pointing to them. Second, there was a mile of plastic wrap surrounding the rolled up mattress. Seriously...a mile! Third, I was informed that the mattress was heavy after I had already purchased it. I'm also a disabled veteran with a shoulder injury, alone and living in the country. You should consider offering in-home set up for people like me, once the mattress is delivered. It took some time but I was finally able to get rid of the mile-long plastic wrap and get the mattress situated correctly. It was kinda cool seeing it puff up before my eyes when I ripped the final plastic covering off. Now for the good stuff...it is really comfortable! I've only been sleeping on it for about three weeks but I am impressed! I read in bed a lot and sitting for long periods is (literally) no longer a pain. I used to wake up with a back ache every morning with my old mattress. I can honestly say I have had no back aches since sleeping on my new Purple mattress. It hasn't given me the BEST sleep of my life but it has been the most comfortable, so I remain hopeful. The free sleep masks were a nice addition as well. Bottom line, it was well worth the money. I would buy one for my guest room except visitors might never leave!

First thing to know is that the product is wonderful! Very comfortable bed which doesn't hurt my sore shoulders or back! Finally......a great night's sleep! The only problem I have, (which Purple warned me in advance,) is that I wouldn't want to get out of bed. Now that is so true!! Second, when I ordered my mattress I carefully measured my old mattress for the size needed. Well, imagine my disappointment when the purple mattress was 4-5 inches too short. I called not sure if I was able to make an exchange... but they helped me work it out. They sent the new mattress out quickly. I was surprised. I was sure I would have to wait. The service was quick, professional, and there were no incriminations about my inability to measure correctly. They simply helped me correct the problem in short order! How refreshing is that? I would definitely encourage anyone to buy a purple mattress for their next bed! I'm super happy I did.

I had wanted a Purple bed for quite some time, ever since I saw it mentioned on the Single Dad Laughing blog on Facebook. My husband wasn't nearly as eager to order something online. I finally sold him with the promise that if he (or even I) didn't like it there is the 100 day money back guarantee. Well, we ordered a queen Purple bed and expected to wait three to four MONTHS. Imagine my surprise when it arrived within ONE MONTH!!! Our son came over to help unwrap the "purple burrito" and placed it on our bed. We were prepared to need a few nights to adjust but the first night we both slept better than we had in a long time. I had been having problems with my arms getting numb when I slept on my side and that was one of the reasons I wanted to try this bed. Success! I have not had one episode of numbness in any extremities since we got the bed a week ago. This is another order you will NOT be getting back.

This is seriously the most supportive bed I have ever had the pleasure of sleeping on. I'm a total skeptic and looked at this product for nearly 8months before deciding that I had absolutely had enough of my sciatic nerve pain along with neck and other back pain. I am 5 months pregnant and this bed has been a dream. I have no neck/back pain and no tension headaches and my sciatica has improved drastically! To top it all off the purple sheets are so soft that all I want to do is stay in bed all day, total comfort=total win! Definitely recommend this bed to everyone I know and it's so affordable in comparison to other beds that don't even hit the mark in comfortability. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the skepticism and long sleepless nights and buy this bed!

Bought it without trying it not knowing if I would. Based on reviews from word of mouth. I'm so pleased! It's everything I wanted in a mattress. The customer service has been exemplary. I accidentally ripped the cover upon unwrapping the mattress and they sent me a free new one. (Be careful when cutting the plastic wrap off the mattress if you're clumsy like myself). 100% would recommend.

I can't say anything about the bed itself yet because I haven't been able to get it into my bedroom or set it up. Before purchasing, please be aware that this bed weighs over 300 pounds total, including the Powerbase if you invest in it. Purple only ships via FedEx and Old Dominion, and they only take it to your door (at their discretion) and do not set it up. So you need to either find weight-lifting friends, or hire someone to help you bring it in and set it up. Unfortunately I may have to do the latter and I have no idea whether the bed will break in the process. I hope the bed is as nice as the reviews say.... but it may be a while before I can actually sleep on it.
