We are 4 months in now, and the mattress still smells. If you put your nose next to it, about 12 inches away, you can smell the off-gassing. It originally smelled much more strongly, and has gradually lessened. The first month, I had the windows open to air it out, but as the weather grew colder, I could not leave the windows open any longer... I recently also bought a Beauty Rest regular style mattress, and the "new mattress" smell was gone within less than a month. I'm concerned that the Purple mattress smell will maybe never go away... It's comfortable, about a "medium" as far as firmness goes. Overall, because of the smell I would not buy again. If the smell doesn't go away soon I may just get rid of it and buy another traditional-style mattress...

We love our Purple Mattress, but the most impressive thing about purchasing from Purple is their Customer Service! We emailed them and within minutes, got our questions taken care of. I will be telling all of our friends about it! Thank you Purple!!!

It took longer than stated to get the mattress delivered, so we were out of town when it finally came. We received no communication about a shipping date until after the quoted time when it was supposed to have arrived. We had to have friends come and move it from our porch into our garage. I like the feel of the mattress, but I think the gel layer on the top should be thicker for heavier set people like myself. It feels to me like it does very little in the way of supporting and cushioning pressure points. I did eventually adjust to it. I have this bed as a back-up for me to sleep on when I am on call for work, so I don't wake up my wife in the middle of the night. I greatly prefer to sleep on my Serta iComfort mattress because it supports me better.

I got the Purple mattress (Twin XL) for my wife, who'd been complaining for 2 years that our Serta was too hard and she was having difficulty sleeping. After a week on the Purple, she says it's the most comfortable one and has given her the best sleep she's ever had. I may have to go ahead and buy one for myself!

The mattress is amazing super duper awesome. Has a unique feel to it that you can't get from any other mattress. It also cacoons your bday and cuddles and it's indescribable how it just hugs you as you drift away to a scieney mattress induced sleep. So Amazing. Coupled with the Purple Pillow and purple sheets, it is unlike anything else in the world. The purple products make for the best night sleep you can get. BEST MATTRESS OUT THERE. CANT PRAISE THE MATTRESS AND OTHER PURPLE PRODUCTS ENOUGH!!!

This is the 4th memory foam mattress I have owned since 2006 (when I move long distances, I tend to sell them and buy new in my new location). My previous 3 were very supportive, but in summer months, definitely did get warm - and I lived in Montana. I knew I needed something different when I was moving to Florida. I researched mattresses based on 'coolness' and Purple came to the top of every list. I thought even if it is half as hot, I will still be happy with it. It is NOT hot, AT ALL. I have had it for 6 weeks now, in the summer, in Florida, and I am totally comfortable on it. The support is fantastic (feels like a med-firm, due to the unique top), but the fact that I am so comfortable, temperature-wise, is amazing. When I am happy with a purchase, I don't usually write a review. But I am ecstatic with this mattress - thanks Purple!!

I have never slept better in my life. Everything about this mattress is amazing from the delivery to the setup and to a wonderful nights sleep. You feel cradled all over your body and aligned in all the right places. I haven't had my mattress long but my back pain is already improving from years on an old worn out pillow top. I am very happy with my Purple mattress and it was worth every penny.

I suffer from chronic pain due to my car being hit by an 18 wheeler. I also have fibromyalgia. The mattresses I've had before my Purple mattress made my pain worse. My Purple mattress is so comfortable and doesn't make me feel like I got in a fight when I wake up. For me this mattress is the best ever I would recommend this mattress to anyone.

Not crazy about it. Cost is high I was excited when I read all the reviews I don't really feel like this bed is any different from the others. Leaning on returning the mattress since it's not really growing on me. And my mattress came with a black spot

Both the mattress and the customer service are amazing. Amanda B is the bomb. She went out of her way to accommodate us and respond to all of my emails quickly. The mattress itself is exactly what we wanted, firm but also giving. Our frame is on the way and I'm more than sure it'll be exactly what we were looking for!
