I first tried a casper mattress and it left my wife with some serious hip pain. She said the casper was better than our 10 year old Simmons. I decided since casper and people gave us a 100 day trial, I ordered the purple around day 30 since the casper seemed to be giving my wife issues. Within one or two nights on purple, my wife's hip soreness was gone. I weigh 270 and I don't notice a major difference in comfort between the 2 mattresses. My theory is that I don't get the same benefit of the top layer that lighter sleepers might get. I would be interested in different recommended thicknesses of the top layer based on weight. Overall very satisfied with this purchase. It is appropriately priced. I don't think it is a tempurpedic replacement, but it's a good midline option.

Quite honestly my husband and I got the mattress because we researched how it was engineered and we thought it was so cool! However we were so surprised at how comfortable it is. You don't realize you've had terrible sleep until you've tried this mattress and actually have great sleep!! I recommend it to everyone I know and if you're reading this u recommend to you too!! I used to be a stomach sleeper and the mattress and pillow have turned me into a back sleeper. Ps. It is SUPER quiet :)

I do not yet own any purple products but I did lay down on a purple 3.0 at a mattress firm store about a month ago and it felt so incredibly good that I literally started tearing up. Idk what felt better between the purple mattress and purple pillow but it was a sensation that convinced me I need to replace all 5 beds in house.

This was a warranty replacement for a Purple that had dents and ridges. I wanted the old one back after the replacement was send. The replacement is so firm, both my husband and I had trouble sleeping and woke up with shoulder and hip pain every morning. We immediately ordered a four inch topper from Tummery to make the bed sleepable.

I love this mattress!! My wife and I have had foam mattresse in the past that, although comfy, have ended up with us reverting back to a spring version becuase of the inability to get used to it. The Purple mattress felt like a cloud when I first laid on it and still does!

The Purple Mattress has fantastic technology integrated into its bed, and I think for a majority of people, this bed could work wonderfully. Unfortunately for me, it was just not the right fit. For the entirety of the trial period, I woke up with lower back pain, I could physically feel that it was not supporting me well. I've also realized that I do not like a medium firmness bed, I much prefer a soft firmness. I do think that Purple should strive to offer different levels of firmness and a higher level of support. I think that giving Purple mattress a chance is a smart move, but unfortunately it just was not for me.

You don't notice how uncomfortable your old mattress has gotten because it's such a gradual thing and you think to yourself that it's not worth it to spend so much on a new mattress because yours is ok. Well something you use roughly a third of your day using should be better than fine. So we splurged on a new mattress and took a chance on Purple. Some people said there would be a breaking in period to get use to it but from the first moment I even sat on it I was hooked. We haven't regretted going Purple and now need the pillows to sink further into this family.

Love the mattress, pillow, and stretch characteristics of the sheets. Unhappy with seemingly uncoordinated delivery of five items (platform arrived nearly three weeks after mattress). Unhappy also with the sheet texture quality (sheets began balling-up the first week and continue to worsen as noted with each washing. The mattress comfort is unbelievable. The joint pain in my neck and hips is virtually gone. I am able to achieve good REM sleep without my Apnea machine. Have already passed recommendations on to friends and family. Thanks.

This was one of the best decisions that I have made. I love sleeping on my new PURPLE Mattress and Pillow!! Easy assembly from the frame to the mattress. No complaints here!! The only question that I have is it too early to go into hibernation with it!!

This is the second purple that I have purchased (the wife and I upgraded from a queen to a king). The purple mattress is firm, but the the pressure points on the body are softened by the purple technology. With every person being shaped differently, this is clutch and you don't have to compromise with your significant other! And now, my guests get to sleep like kings on my old mattress. Joy!
