At first, we were incredibly excited to receive our purple mattress. Now, after one month, we will be seeking a return. Pros: -Super quick shipping and easy setup -Good support overall -Competitive price Cons: -Way too cool, even with flannel sheets I would shiver -I am a stomach sleeper and my arms would routinely be asleep when I awoke -My wife is a side sleeper and now has new pains in her hips and shoulders Overall this bed is different and may be worth trying out. However, we will be looking elsewhere.

We love our bed, frame, sheets and mattress protector. Sleep great! We had a sleep number bed previously. Only frustration was having to wait over 4 weeks for bed and then another 3 weeks for the frame. Seems like they could do better than that. Bed and frame were easy to setup.

I researched for about a month on beds in a box. I chose to go with the Purple 4. After I ordered it I continued to research and almost felt that I made the wrong decision going with Purple. From time of order to delivery and set up was a week, I felt that was very acceptable. I also ordered the power base. My first night on the bed was AMAZING!!! I'm a side sleeper and what an incredible improvement over my mattress I replaced. I always wake up with back, hip and shoulder pain EVERY morning, except for the morning I woke up from my first night sleeping on my Purple. I had NO pain in any part of my body and I sleep sounder and longer between my normal wake ups. What an amazing mattress. I would highly recommend the Purple and the power base. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!! I do not regret the purchase. And now that it's been about a week, it's been a week of sounder sleep and waking up pain free and that is priceless!!!

Our first purple mattress developed a big dip a few months into having it. When we finally could show how bad the dip was it was replaced. I had asked if since we were having to get a new one if we could lay extra to get a king. And was told no. That was disappointing. Now we're going to have to buy a king somewhere else.

I have a friend that swears by the purple but it definitely didn't work for my husband and I. The gel top squishes in when you lay on it but my arm would only push in on the shoulder leaving the rest of the arm lying on top. This would cause arms to fall asleep. It was also just not soft enough for my liking. The return process was efficient and quick though. That was nice .

This may be a bit of a hefty post but hopefully it will help some of you out there as well as Purple in continuing to improve their products. First off I'm about 140 lbs, pretty thin; and I am pretty much exclusively a side sleeper. I prefer a softer bed, although I haven't really done any extensive studies of different bed firmness. I think due to my side sleeping I expected this bed to work really well for me because I imagined if I was sleeping on my arm that it would kind of dig into the Polymer while the rest of my weight was supported. So my arm wouldn't go numb, and at the same time due to it's design I wouldn't be super hot. I basically expected it to be a cloud of awesome. I purchased the new Purple 3 Mattress about a month ago. Initially I noticed it actually felt firmer than my old bed (my old bed was just average I would say, nothing too fancy) which kind of took me off guard. I was expecting it to be softer and really cradle me like I was sleeping in a cloud. I did notice the Hyper-Elastic Polymer when I was sitting on the bed or sitting up, but when my weight was distributed it just felt harder than my old bed. I didn't keep count of how many times my arm went numb, but I do feel it happened a bit more with this bed versus my old bed. If I was a bit heavier (perhaps 160-170lbs?) I think it would have really cradled me a lot better, but for me it felt like I was just sleeping on a flat board. In my personal opinion, I would be very interested if the Hyper-Elastic Polymer on the bed was just a bit more firm than the pillow is. Before the bed arrived I laid on the pillow and I thought, "If this is what it's like and it still keeps me cool it's going to be great." So maybe that's something they might look in to in the future. Like having different consistencies of polymer vs just 2, 3 or 4 inches of the same consistency. I would probably be willing to give it another chance if that was the case. As far as temperature goes I did feel that it slept a cooler because I was able to up my AC a bit and wake up really comfortable as far as temperature is concerned. I'm rating this three stars as it seemed like a pretty average bed to me. This doesn't take into account the price. For me it wasn't worth the price when my bed isn't super old, and I didn't really notice a difference. The rating also doesn't take into account their customer service because I wanted to make this just about the bed itself.

It's nice, but not worth *that* much money. It's very comfortable, but I think memory foam beds are better or the same for way less. I'd buy the more fancy ones at the price of this one, I'd imagine they're probably better and possibly worth 1k for full size like this one was. I'd have to try both side by side to be sure. But this model in particular seems overpriced so far. I ordered two types of pillows, I hope they're less disappointing than the mattress

My old mattress RIP, was about 15 years old and being 24 years old I didn't need to be having lower back pain. So I saw an ad for Pruple and decided to buy one. I've had the mattress for a little over a month now and I love it, BUT I've noticed that in the middle of the bed (where I usually sleep) the purple cushions are not as firm as the other two sides of the mattress which means it's not supporting my pressure points like it should be and now my lower back pain is back :(

1 month down!!! Okay so I am what you would call "Normal healthy Human". My partner on the other hand...he has had 2 disc replaced in his neck and a lumbar Laminectomy.....so his back is outta wack. A friend from work just raved about this bed so I did it...I ordered it with the awesome "Sumo" base and figured lets give this a go. OH MY LANTA!!!!.....I didn't realize how bad of sleep I was getting let alone my poor partner. I woke up with no joints popping (I am only 33) no stiffness in my lower back, i didn't wake up to my arms going to sleep...this is fantastic. As to the man of the house...he still has back pain...because of the surgeries that will never go away...but he is actually able to fall asleep laying on his back. Before he would have to keep his legs bent just to be able to lay on his back just due to the extra pain our normal mattress was causing. Now he is able to lay on his back, fall asleep and he (fingers cross) hasn't been woken up because of pain. So he is actually sleeping at night!! We are currently looking into purchasing the pillows and a **** cushion for me to use at work. I would seriously tell anybody who has had back surgery and just issues all around, to give this a try...it does feel a little weird at first...feels like you are being suspended in the air. Once you get that 1st nights awesome rest and just wake up with out being groggy or still tired...you will thank yourself!

I had been tossing & turning for weeks on my 6 month old memory foam mattress and waking up more tired than when I went to bed. Since getting my purple, I have been sleeping like a baby from night 1. My Very Fit Pro says that I have been averaging a little over 4 hours a night of deep sleep. And I wake up refreshed in the morning. I LUV my Purple!!!!
