My husband had slept on his waterbed for 40+ years, but it was causing lots of problems for my shoulders, back, and hips due to lack of support I needed. He LOVED his waterbed, but agreed to give it up for me. Since switching to Purple, we both are sleeping great and he has actually admitted he loves this mattress also, which he didn't think would be possible since he enjoyed his waterbed so much. I would recommend this mattress to anyone!!! (and have)

The mattress is everything it's talked up to minus the Size. The queen is the smallest queen I have ever seen. It's easily a Full. Would have given a 5 star if I didn't wake up regularly because I'm rolling off the side of the mattress. Super comfortable though.

I fall asleep, and I do not wake up during the night. It is difficult to wake up in the morning since I am very comfortable in my bed. Just like the platform base, The Purple Mattress does not make any noise whatsoever. It is firm, yet soft and comfortable.

Had I known how this would change the energy in my life I would have happily paid double for this mattress. The marketing is witty and intelligent, but the informed consumer knows its still a gamble. Trust me when I tell you Purple is selling sound and comfortable sleep that lasts throughout the night. Nothing aches anymore. Coffee is no longer necessary. Going to bed is a pleasure again. THe best comparison I can give you is this: Purple is to mattresses as the iPhone is to cellular phones. Bravo, Purple. Thank you!

This mattress was completely unexpected! I was waking up 4 - 6 times a night, tossing and turning. When I started sleeping on this mattress, my muscles got very sore, and I thought it might actually not be working out for me. However, I stuck with it - seeing as how my wife, from day one, was quickly falling into deep sleep's on the mattress and she is usually a light sleeper. Well, one visit to the chiropractor, and now all of a sudden, I only get up once a night and my sleep is sound - meaning, my eyes close, then the next thing I know, it's morning. This mattress has met all my expectations. It is amazingly comfortable. As a side note - it is also quite a stable platform for the more amorous activities one also enjoys in bed. That's important too.

This mattress is way to thin especially on the sides where the bed collapses. I'm only 170 pounds and I don't think there is enough structure on the edges of the bed. It's isn't overly comfortable, but it is supportive. I think the more expensive model would have been a much better choice. This 10 inch thick mattress is way to low for a platform bed both practically and aesthetically. First two nights on the bed was not good at all, but the mattress did get better with time. I am returning this and will be getting a different brand. Overall not bad, just not for me. I sleep on back stomach and side.

We got this mattress a little over 3 months ago and we have loved it since day one! I used to wake up multiple times in the night and have been sleeping through the night much better. There has been no sign of the mattress caving in like our old memory foam. We couldn't be more satisfied!

Honestly, before I had back problems I probably never would have bought a mattress like this. I was a pillow-top kind of girl...but after gaining a lot of weight (I am 320 lbs at 5'10") my pillow-top was not cutting it anymore. My mattress was 10 years old..."Ten years old!" You exclaim. "No wonder your back is all jacked up!" Yes, my old mattress had the best years behind her, but I also tried my sister's new pillow-top mattress, my brother's dense memory foam mattress, my best friend's firm mattress, and multiple couches...they all aggravated my back :-(. After a late night browsing the Internet and getting sucked into the dark side of YouTube, I came across the ad for the Purple mattress (without even looking for a new mattress...you all know how that goes so don't judge, Judgey-McJudgerson). To make a long story longer, I bought a king size Purple the next day and it was delivered to my door 3 weeks later. Since I was tracking the package as soon as I ordered, I was super excited when it arrived to say the least. It was easy to lug to my second floor bedroom and unroll onto my pre-existing box springs. (My sister and I did unroll it upside down at first, but it was not hard at all to flip over. *Disclaimer* I am AMAZINGLY strong though). The first few hours on the purple was interesting. It was almost as if I could feel my back re-adjusting itself. After I fell asleep and woke 4ish hours later, I felt better than I had in a long time. It wasn't a cure all for my back problems as I hoped it would be, I almost envisioned I would awake with super energy and be 150 lbs lighter (my Mother always said I had a vivid imagination) but I did have one of the better slumber's I have had without being drunk. It has now been over a month and I love my Purple. I can't always sleep on my side like I used to on my pillow-top (I get weird upper back ache, but I do believe if I was lighter it wouldn't be a problem) but sleeping on my back is bliss and I fall asleep very quickly (unless, you know... the dark side of YouTube). On a side note, my sister does not have back issues and she does not like it very much. She thinks she can feel the honey-comb thingy too much. I am trying to get my brother to try it out because he has back issues as well, but I will have to update this review once he tries it. (Pluse he doesn't have the princess-and-the-pea-syndrome like my sister apparently does). FIVE STARS!

I have been sleeping on a number type of bed for years. One of the bladders lost the ability to hold air. I saw an online advertisement for the purple mattress. I thought about it for a week and then decided to go for it. I do not regret that decision. I have chronic, acute arthritis in my lower back, and I wondered if I could adapt to a foam mattress as opposed to air support. I love it. I was more comfortable and slept for longer periods of time on the very first night. It just keeps getting more comfortable the longer that I sleep on it. For me, this mattress has been a wonderful improvement in my sleep comfort.

I had always been a semi-stomach/semi-side sleeper, with my arm slung out under my head. After reaching late 40-ish, with the addition of a "few" pounds, I was unable to sleep in my favorite position any longer due to back/shoulder/neck aches. I received my Purple matress in October, and have slept more soundly and comfortably than I have since I can remember, INCLUDING back to my favorite sleeping position...with NO aches whatsoever. I love the support and the just-right amount of give and firmness. HIGHLY rec ommended!!
