I got this mattress with high hopes and thankfully it met and exceeded those expectations. The top "gel" layer is obviously what makes this mattress so great, and the unique grid does an excellent job at supporting all of your pressure points. For some, the feeling of the grid might take some time to get used to, but the comfort level is amazing. People worry about the cost, but for something that gets used as often as a mattress, the investment is totally worth it. I would definitely recommend this.

This is actually the third mattress my husband and I have bought from purple. We bought our first and decided after a year to go to a smaller mattress. My parents are now using our first mattress and they love it as well. After about 6 months we decided to go back to a larger mattress due to our son sleeping with us. All three are still in great shape, no dents or huge sags like most mattresses. This is the first mattress that has lasted over a year without any sag. I absolutely love the purple mattress, the sheets and all. I will never sleep on any other mattress again.

I found out about Purple via a YouTube ad. (For the record, the ad pulled me in, and accordingly, it may have been the first YouTube ad I've ever watched in its entirety.) I was intrigued by the science of the Purple Mattress, as I was looking for some relief from chronic lower back pain. I decided to purchase a Queen (Original) mattress. My expectations were high, and the mattress has NOT disappointed. It took a few days for my body to get used to the mattress, but now, I feel a LOT more rejuvenated after a night of sleep. I don't toss and turn like I used to because of back pain. The Purple Mattress is so comfortable. I'm a fan!

I spent over a year researching what would be the most supportive mattress for the least amount of money. I think mattresses are absurdly overpriced for what most of them are but purple caught my attention with how different their mattress was (materially) and the price was reasonable for being so high end from my perspective. I've tried all of the fancy beds at bed stores (including sleep numbers... don't get me wrong, they're nice but I didn't need something that customizable and too expensive) and the purple mattress supports me better than any of them, including the Sleep Number mattress. I hope to have it for a long time. It was also just a joy to open the vacuum seal and watch a bed grow right in front of your eyes in seconds. Their delivery was super quick and I am grateful for my 0% APR payment for 12 mos.

My wife and I both have some type of back pain so we decided to give Purple a try. Unfortunately this mattress isn't for us. We tried the bed for a couple of months, even switching back to our old mattress for a few nights. As bad as we hated to, we had to ask for a refund. To our amazement THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM AT ALL! They helped us though the simple process and in the end we were able to donate to a wonderful local charity. So, DO NOT BE AFRAID TO GIVE THIS MATTRESS A TRY! They really do what they say they will do - so refreshing to do business with a company that is not a scam! Wonderful business, wonderful people!! BTW, the seat cushion is the best, no way I'll part with that!

Coming off of a SLEEP NUMBER bed (20 year warranty) after 17 years, the Purple mattress delivers similar support at 25% of the cost. Warranty is only 10 years, but I'd still be saving 50% if I have to buy a new Purple a decade from now. Win. Win. WIN.

Mattress was packaged as advertised. Set up was easy. My existing box frame had 8 inch spacing between slats, so I bought a sheet of 3/8 inch plywood and cut to fit two sections to support Purple. We love the mattress! The reason for four stars is due to the fact the we are fairly light (me 155 lbs, my wife 110 pounds) so it feels a bit firm. We are side-sleepers and the purple top material is perfect for allowing shoulders and hips to sink in while still keeping nice spine alignment; for side-sleepers, I give it a 5+ rating.
