Shipping procedures

I can never get the item. When I put an order in for shipping, which has a $50 minimum then when I get to the screen to place the order I get the message that the item is out of stock. At that point I'm looking at an $8 charge for shipping so I cancel the entire order. I am not paying for Plus membership and also paying for shipping when I originally ordered $50 and you were out of stock, not my fault.
