I have been using TurboTax software for e-filing both federal and state taxes for over ten years. I highly recommend it, as I find it to be straightforward to use for anyone who has basic knowledge of tax documents and information. There are multiple tools available to assist with answering any questions or to provide supportive, detailed explanations when needed. I enjoy the flexibility of the program; it allows you to stop and start as needed on any section of your return. It also allows you to separate the federal from state if you wish to only work on one return. I have tried another company in the past but never plan to use another vendor as long as Turbo Tax's prices remain competitive and provide the programs that I need!

I literally able to complete my taxes in minutes. All my information was there from last year and I simply had to make a few updates. Uploading my taxes forms took seconds. This is my like my 10th year using it and it get easier and more user friendly every year. Keep up the great work.

Ive always regarded turbo tax as using shady practices in terms of upgrading services. In years prior the platform seemed to allow you to use the free version while claiming a deduction to student loan interest. Now you are forced to upgrade to a premium version, furthermore it seems that the service has so many add ons like fees for paying with your return or fees for expedited deposit of funds. I think this platform is dishonest and cant wait for future class action lawsuits against it.

Using Turbo Tax was a very efficient way to do my taxes. It's very easy and understandable to use to get your taxes done in a timely manner. The only gripe i have is that the payment options were very unclear and sneaky in my opinion which is why its getting a three star review. I know how to do my taxes on my own just fine so I was planning on choosing the most basic turbo tax plan however a bit into filing I realized it had added on Premium. When I tried to switch to the basic option, it wouldn't allow me to since I had already started my tax return and "used the benefits of premium" even though I was barely into filing and to my understanding there's no option to restart so that you can choose a cheaper option so I was stuck paying a $90 fee that I didn't need to pay in the first place.

I found Turbo Tax much more frustrating this year than in the past and not as user friendly. I had difficulty with deductions. Having them listed but not being able to review them and having to input all the information again was annoying. I had trouble finding where to put my estimated tax payments and the search engine was unhelpful.

Was sent an email that was misleading about my taxes. Went and tried to file them and they charged me. Then got an email apologizing that I couldn’t file due to their error of actually not being ready. This wasn’t applied to what was already charged. When when I followed link for discount.

Bruh it's easy, i enjoyed using TurboTax on Android along with TurboTax on my computer to help get my taxes done accurately and fast, TurboTax helps you make sure that your taxes are filed accurately and that you get every dollar you deserve! Thanks Turbo Tax for making tax filing easy! Yo thanks!

Improved from 2022 returns, as the reminders are better. In 2024, I found out my 2022 return was never filed (even though I thought I hit submit. and I had to pay a $450 late filing, print and snail mail my 2022 return after e-filing my 2023 tax return (I was flabbergasted when I found out I didn’t file when submitting my 2023 return in April 2024. Why wasn’t I notified? I checked my emails and only got one reminder in July 2023, which was ignored as junk mail. Now the reminders and submission are better.

Each time I decline an upgrade, Turbo brings up program glitches. I had paid and was ready to finish filing, Turbo again asked for an upgrade. I declined again. it froze and would not let me finish e filing until I spoke to their customer service, who was very polite. sadly i had to speak to customer service 3 times in this tax year prep, as Turbo froze each time i declined upgrades during prep. It is customer harrassment.

Made a mess of my investment transactions even after it downloaded them from my broker. The software does not understand options and was insisting on cost basis for selling covered calls and asking if they were sold or expired (actually it's both?). For some reason, every transaction was labelled as "needs review", even straightforward stock transactions. Also, it imported my 1099s twice and added them to my income for a nice surprise at the end. Going to research different software for next year's tax filings.
