I have used Turbo Tax for many years and have generally liked the product. This year my taxes became more complex with the addition of additional returns for my young children, oil and gas royalties, and new state income tax forms. The software needs a means of adding additional federal returns for young minors within the parents login. They will get but do not need their own Turbo Tax accounts. The 1099-MISC income section for schedule E requires an address for the property. This needs to be fixed for mineral rights royalties since properties are often described via section, township & range or meets and bounds without a normal address. Adjust the software so that I can skip the city and zip code in this section. I could not enter Schedule E lines 18 and 19 without a fake address. The state tax forms also need to be streamlined. Oklahoma asked for information on my stock sales that was not related to the state and had to be clicked through in a clunky time consuming manner.

I don't understand if my forms are imported, why it asks me to fill in other blocks. You downloaded the form. This most likely is the last time I will use TurboTax. I have been with it for decades and it gets frustrating. The upselling is annoying. I will try other methods. It takes me way too long. I use TurboTax to because I don't know taxes. Asks me questions when I have forms input, I don't know the answer, that's why I use TurboTax.

Way too expensive for the amount of work I have to do. I also do not like all the added on fees after processing. It's ridiculous. Why would you not automatically include at lease one state tax filing with federal. I can understand if someone lived or worked in multiple states but for a regular/common person that only files a typical federal and one state return, the cost should be bundled.

I am requesting a full refund of the $203 dollars I spent on this product. I've used TurboTax since the beginning, some 20+ years. The product has become almost unusable. The flow of the UX is inconsistent, repetitious and overly restrictive. Documents that have been uploaded can't be referenced on the step that involves said document and my return has been repeatedly rejected for not completing steps that I'm sure we went over and filled out during the flow. I've been a customer for a long time because the product was great but no more!

Last year and in previous years I could see a "running" tax refund or tax owed as I entered different information into the application. I didn't see that this year and missed it. I enjoyed seeing what recently entered numbers changed my results. Your step by step walk through isn't as clean as it was in the past, especially on the state return.

i love turbo tax!! its always been a quick and informative process, ive never felt cheated and i always learn something new, every year i feel updated and informed on the latest, tax wise. this is my 7th year filing with turbo tax. next will be my 8th!

The tax filing works fine but your emails and ads are deceptive - implying that action must be taken right away or that a refund is waiting on someone when in fact you have no idea if someone even has a refund coming because they haven't loaded their info yet. And the constant pushing to upgrade or sign up for a higher level of tax prep is not clearly enough marked (in my opinion). I would be very curious to see the number of people that pay for a higher level of tax prep but never take advantage of the help from tax pros.

Beware of the upselling in this service. If you don't read carefully, you will add services in several places throughout the process. I also wish this saved more information. For example, why I am I being asked if I received a refund and for how much last year when my taxes were filed in the same account? This does do a decent job walking you through the process and having places to click for more information.

Turbo tax does a very good job of handling my taxes. My one criticism is the constant and somewhat sneaky attempts to up sale products. Quit doing that. I understand some folks might want that but simply ask the question at the end and don't keep trying in the middle of my tax preparation. Also you tried to up charge me a freaking $40 fee for paying my subscription out of my refund. That fee was high but what ticked me was you didn't tell me upfront there was a fee you tried to sneak it in after I selected yes to paying out of my refund. So minor irritations for me that I know I have to watch out for but my dad is 89 and uses turbox tax and it was really confusing him. If you didn't have these easily fixed problems I would have said an awesome product. Makes me begin to think I should investigate using the governments free e submission service next year.

I've been using TurboTax for years and always found it very easy and straight-forward. This year I used the on-line version and found it much more complicated. Maybe it was just my inability to move to something new, but it just seemed like i had to bounce all around to enter things or check my entries. I think I finally got there, and maybe next year will be easier. We'll see.
