TurboTax made filing my taxes this year easier than I could have imagined! The entire process was straightforward, thanks to the simple, user-friendly interface. I loved how it guided me step-by-step, ensuring I didn’t miss any deductions or credits. The program also provided clear explanations for each section, so I felt confident about the information I was submitting. One of the best parts was the ease of navigating through the forms and syncing my information from previous years, which saved me a ton of time. TurboTax also provides great customer support if you run into any questions, and the live chat feature was super helpful. Overall, it’s a stress-free way to file taxes, and I can’t recommend it enough! If you want a smooth and reliable experience, TurboTax is definitely the way to go.

AWFUL THIS YEAR. I've done my taxes for 20 years using TurboTax, the experience this year has been terrible. The interface makes it impossible to go back and make changes. The data submitted in the system does not transfer to the IRS or to my state. It costs easily twice as much as it did last year. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Constantly trying to charge you more at every step, Id recommend reading everything very carefully because they slipped in new fees at multiple different points that I had to go back and find to get rid of. They also try to charge you $40 extra to take the cost of filing out of your tax return ON TOP of all the other costs. Its absurd. Probably using a different service next year because this is getting out of hand.

Honestly its a little expensive and I am constantly fighting the program to accurately apply the correct percentage of deduction on expenses. I had to restart a few times specifically because of the programs limitations. I also received a 1099 from gambling and was unable to deduct expenses against the 1099, so I was literally unable to add the form. Given what turbo tax charges, and the complication of using it, I think next year I will be going to a tax preparer in person, which is usually cheaper, and can enter information correctly for some of the uncommon situations I have. The only thing I find useful, and has kept me in the eco-system is the fact that TurboTax stores all of my information and transfers it year over year.

I'm not a fan of having your "direct deposit" go to either credit karma or some other bank for their 5 day early program, but thats whatever. This is the first year I've had to file Self-Employed, which I am not entirely sure I was supposed to, but at least it's done. $3K to Uncle Sam for SE taxes, we'll just call it my donation to the border wall.

Turbotax is an excellent product but contributes, via lobbying, to a wasteful tax preparation system. The government, like all first world countries, should be calculating taxes payable by it's citizens. The company should be ashamed of its behavior.

A bit clumsy in places. I started the home mortgage interest but decided to skip it since it was a very small amount, and I didn't have detailed data. But TurboTax kept asking me to fill it in with no way for me just delete it. For the 1099-K from eBay, it kept saying it needed attention, but when I reviewed it nothing was highlighted as a problem. For royalties, entered names and addresses, and later it used addresses as if they were names.

I've used TurboTax for years but was disappointed with my experience this year. The 1099 filing process was more confusing than it was when I last filed a 1099 (4 years ago). Making any help live solely behind a $150 paywall, when I'm already paying $90 to file, made understanding the tax experience feel even more inaccessible to me, as an average American taxpayer. In a world where this experience is already daunting, TurboTax markets itself as a friendly option to assist us in this process, but I felt as though TurboTax majorly missed the mark.

you guys pop up these stupid boxes at the end with your extra check and are like, 'type the number in the box' and then I put the wrong number and I'm hosed. why are you making me type numbers in the box? its super confusing. what's the point of this if you make me type numbers in the box. it said put your schedule P AMT in and I put the wrong number in and now I have to amend and its only because I happened to notice it when I was marveling at my tax credits.

My biggest complaint is that there is a bug related to RMDs which has been known and acknowledged since at least Jan 28 as evidenced by the TT Community discussion. I disliked having to reconfirm items that I had already entered. I was unable to import most of my 1099s from Vanguard which I was able to do easily in the past.
