I love how everything is connected, how it can read my documents, how it carries over prior years, and how I can buy audit protection given I'm not a CPA and I may make human mistakes. I also love how there is an audit score, which gave me reassurance to see I'm a very low audit risk

i WANTED TO SEPERATE MY FEDERAL AND STATE FILINGS ONE EFILE ONE MAIL FOUND IT VERY DIFFICULT AND COULD NOT ACCOMPLISH EVEN WITH ON LINE HELP, WAS VERY DISATISFIED WITH PROCESS OVERALL WANTED ME TO CONSTANTLY UPDATE TO THE MORE COSTLY PROGRAM. WILL THINK TWICE ABOUT USING YOUR SERVICE IN THE FUTURE.

As someone who recently became employed for a job that issues a W-2 and also someone who is also filing freelance income for the first year in their life, I'm really glad it was easy to file taxes on my own this year, I have Turbo Tax to thank for that. I hope it's always this easy for the rest of my life. Thank you everybody.

Having to look back for information often is ridiculous when paying over $300 for the guidance. As an example, after the state check, I was informed that I needed a description of additional income, but didn’t provide a list of possible sources for that income, when it was clear when I went back to my federal return. I also found myself searching elsewhere for guidance on various topics because TurboTax didn’t do anything more than give me a generic link to information from the IRS. Due to all of this, what TurboTax said would take 54 minutes took over 5 hours. My situation isn’t basic, but it’s also not all that complex if I didn’t have to go searching for guidance. I’ll probably just go pay someone locally to do my taxes next year to save time and ensure the money goes to someone who actually helps me.

I found this year's version of Turbo Tax to be AWFUL! I could not look at my actual return in-process, could not get answers to simple questions, and had great difficulty printing a copy of my return at the end. It felt like you have dumbed down the tool so much that an intelligent person cannot use it. That may seem contradictory- but I needed to interact with the tool and could not do so.

This was our first year using turbo tax. All of our friends use Turbo Tax and they love it. but we were so nervous about entering the info on our own. I was so impressed with how simple and easy to fill out it was. I feel like I got more help on the website than I have ever received from other companies. I will be returning and telling everyone how I saved money and time.

Being asked to upgrade to a higher priced service or add an additional service 5-plus times throughout the process was infuriating. Taxes are stressful enough -- having the process interrupted with screens asking me to pay more money was absolutely unnecessary. Also, my dividends form did not have the non-resident state listed, so navigating that portion here on TurboTax was difficult and the "help" feature was unhelpful. That section alone took almost 20 minutes to do.

I have used TurboTax forever. Each year the upselling gets more and more intrusive. When I'm on a screen that says "Review and Sign" and your ready to finish up, it's completely deceptive for those screens to be associated with data usage agreements that have nothing to do with the return itself. A little salesmanship is fine, especially for an online product, but you've gone way too far, and I will likely be looking elsewhere next year.

This year's process for downloading income from brokerages and banks was far more obscure. As a result, my confidence in accurate processing was negative. 1099-R processing was terrible and I would rate it with negative stars. we have multiple IRA accounts at our brokerage. Our RMD requirement is summarized for all accounts and I manage specific distributions against the total amount. This means that the actual RMD's will vary from the specific amount per account. This year, Turbotax did a terrible job with that. Last comment - it looked like many of the data entry forms have been redesigned. Consequently, they were confusing and unclear compared to prior years. While I was able to complete my taxes, next year I will be considering alternative choices.

Tax preparers are truly awful, tricking Americans into paying for a service that should be handled by the state. Not only that, they lobby our lawmakers so they can continue the grift. If lawmakers actually served the American people these products would not exist.
