I did not engage with anyone, but on multiple occasions, my forms were not properly and completely uploaded by TT. It was VERY difficult to figure out what was/wasn't uploaded. I ended up having to delete HUGE portions of my uploads and redo them to get them to transfer complete and properly.

I felt the process was more difficult this year than usual. I know there are changes every year, but the I felt the download from our investment accounts was confusing at times and blanks that could have been filled in weren't. However, I got through the process and feel confident my returns are accurate, and certainly a lot less expensive than hiring an accountant.

I've just tried to prepare an amended state return, and the process has been north of confusing. I was unable to find a way to amend state only, so now I have amended returns for both federal and state. When I got to state, the changes I needed to make in my state credits form were already somehow already magically in place. It is worth noting that the changes were likely related to a Turbo Tax programming error in place for my original submission, which appeared to transmit the wrong credit total from another form. The PDF I downloaded for my original transmission clearly shows the error, and it was in place when I made a call to Turbo Tax support after the efile. (The support person was great, by the way!). I called our state tax customer support today and found that the error had been corrected in their files. So, I am left very unclear as to whether I need to file an amendment or not, and wondering whether TurboTax corrected their programming error but did not bother to let this end user know.

I love TurboTax. It isn't free, but they really walk you through every scenario. I have 100% confidence that I'm getting my maximum benefit, and that my taxes are done correctly, because the system is so thorough. It makes some which could be so much harder simple.

Definitely had some problems with it. For starters I had to create a new account because Turbo Tax wouldn't give me access to my old account, I no longer had access to the phone number connected to the account and I tried several times to reset and used the other identification factors and it still wouldn't let me in. Then when I went to download my Florida state income tax report to mail in, it wouldn't let me download or print it. Also, I don't care for the hidden fees.

I had to manually enter all my 1099-R information. Pricing is not transparent upfront. Didn't see what I actually had to pay until right before e-filing. The system forced me into a higher priced option in the middle of preparing my return. That said, TTax is easy to use and I keep coming back to the product despite my problems with the 1099's and unhappiness over the pricing,

Turbo tax is getting more and more expensive and asking for more and more information. I don't like that they offer a nother "free" option which means I have to use Credit Karma Money something, which sounds super shady and they don't even show the option of just straight deposit until you say "No Thanks" also, I paid for it and they didn't let me file the same day I paid which is super strange and makes no sense, I received an email 2 days later saying, "you haven't filed" well, it's because you didn't let me! Stop trying to take the little money we get back by adding additional sales and markups.

Horrible. Uses bait and switch tactics to con you. Doesnt tell you til the end they charge an extra $100+ in fees, only after you spent an hour working on your return. So whatever price they claim they charge, add about an extra 100-200 dollars to that to get an idea of what you’ll actually pay. This company is everything that’s wrong with corporate America. This is my first ever review of anything… just had to give the feedback they deserve. This should be illegal. They’re even asking me for personal info to allow me to post this review…. Bet I’ll get to the end and there will be a fee.

TurboTax has been my go to for many years now. If I have any complaint, it is several redundancies that are built into the system, like verifying my name and address several times over during the process. It gets annoying, but I understand why the process is what it is. I am overall happy with the process. Thank you for helping me with my return all of these years!

I have used TurboTax every year for over 25 years. It has gotten better, faster and more accurate each year. Despite the complex tax laws, they keep the tool updated with helpful prompts looking for ways to find ways to help the customers not over pay on taxes and get the best return possible.
