Wasted time collecting college expenses only to later be told we do not qualify for any credits because of making too much money. TurboTax should have known that immediately from the W2s. Multiple questions misleading or lack of explanations. Probably on purpose so you would pay for additional tax advice.

You asked some questions near impossible to answer, like: What were your Roth contributions prior to 2024? What, you mean ALL of them? I paid in 26 times per year for years. How would I even find that information? I can't use my balance, because that includes earnings. You ask me to know things I cannot know. Too expensive at $200 and 3 hours to prepare.

My reading comprehension isn't the best but I wished the questions were able to dumb it down a bit. It's a bit confusing when you're self-employed filing taxes for the first or second time. I got through it without help but it was a little challenging and stressful. Hiring HR is always so expensive, I don't have that kind of money.

I appreciate how helpful and thorough TurboTax is, and they do make it easy for me to file my returns and understand what I am doing. I just took off a star because it used to be free and now it's not, even for the basic e-filing. But still worth it, in my opinion!

Been using TurboTax for over a decade and used to love it, but now it seems to be buggy. For example it kept asking if I wanted to keep a 1099-DIV in the "Review" phase because it thought it was blank, but when when went back to Income & Investments I could see it was there. Plus, to even submit this review, I have to opt in to emails for some reason, it says "You may receive emails regarding this submission. Any emails will include the ability to opt-out of future communications." as I am submitting this review.

So easy and straight forward. THey are constantly checking to make sure info is accurate and you are getting the best refund! Highly recommend especially if you have somewhat easy taxes to input. It took me about an 1.5hr to finish and was straightforward. Asked questions to make sure I was getting the most amount back. Do not hesitate and try TURBO TAX today!

Used TurboTax for probably 15 years now. Never had an issue. I have a LOT to file and it never takes more than an hour or two. They walk you through everything and they make it super easy to make sure you do everything correct and maximize your return. Love TurboTax and will never switch. Thank you so much!

Extremely confusing information about direct deposit. I needed to change my direct deposit information and it made it seem like there wasn't an option to on the final screen. I wasted over an hour on the phone and screen sharing with customer service to figure out how to do it, only to find that it allowed you to on the next screen when you select "other options." It's 2025, it should not have been this confusing to the point where it took an hour on the phone and speaking to two customer service workers (my call had to be escalated to the support team) just to figure it out. Now I have a headache and am mentally drained and exhausted for no reason after an already mentally draining night of filing my taxes. It's now 9:30pm PT and I haven't even had dinner yet because I've been dealing with this unnecessarily for a whole hour, after over 6 1/2 hours of going through the tedious process of filing. Simply put: Please make this more clear and user-friendly in the future!!! Also, I feel ripped off paying a $44 fee just to file via the internet. Freetaxusa.com is completely free.

My only complaint over previous years is with the new "automatic" Turbo Tax Import from your financial broker or bank. The auto download was done before I first opened the Turbo Tax website to start my tax return and I found it confusing as to what to do when I got to that section of the return. I ended up down loading the data twice from my financial institute. Otherwise, TurboTax was great.

I've used Turbo Tax for many years. It is easy to use, and I feel I always get the largest refund possible. My only complaint is the high cost of tax preparation. My adjusted gross income is way down on the poverty level, yet you charge me almost $200 to do my taxes. Shame on you!!!
