It must upsetting that the product did not perform as expected. We appreciate you providing us with this feedback, but this is definitely not the type of experience we want you to go through. To troubleshoot your Scent Booster, first plug it in and look for two blinks of a blue light between the wicks; if absent, ensure the switch is not in the OFF position (Open Circle) and retest after moving it to an ON setting (LOW/MED/HIGH). Crucially, confirm the device is explicitly turned ON by sliding the switch all the way to the right (Three Solid Dots). After approximately 20 minutes of operation, feel the back sides for warmth as an indicator of function. For the boost feature, press the button with a refill inserted; a blue light around the base and a more intense fragrance within 10 minutes confirm its working (Boost requires an ON setting and a refill). If the fragrance is too subtle, increase the intensity setting and allow about 30 minutes for the change, keeping in mind that noticeable fragrance typically takes 15-20 minutes to develop and will strengthen gradually.
