I love pineapple in every form I can get it. I had never heard of pineapple sauce, so I thought it was a great idea. I refrigerated it a couple of days, so it was very cold. I shook it up really good for a few minutes. I have to admit I had a little trouble figuring out how to open the top, but it was simply a screw on top I was overthinking. You have to suck the tube like a straw. It was a very odd texture thing, like if you had crushed up crushed pineapples. So, pulling up a kind of chunky applesauce-y product was unusual. The taste, however, is not for me. I can't say I blame it on being unsweetened because I can eat a fresh pineapple or no sugar canned anytime. This has a not-pleasant twang as if the whole pineapples were tossed in the masher, rind and all, and they were green as well. I couldn't get past 3 "sips" before I couldn't stand it anymore. I would recommend finding a smaller pack to sample before buying a 12 pk. Now I have to find someone to give them to because it's a very hard pass.
