TurboTax was a little confusing

I have been using TurboTax for decades, however this time I am not positive that TurboTax correctly did my taxes. Hopefully I will not be audited as I was in a rush to complete.

Not as good as previous years

Several issues impacted my rating. One, I have a new computer and was unable to access past returns increasing my data entry work. Two, for some reason the system kept asking about Canada and it was difficult to get around that.

Long slow slide

Download sucks...bring back the CD! never got the state download to work. two hours on phone and finally support staff just sent me a link for the Vermont State program. You really need to get it together. Also bring back ITS Deductible

Desktop Turbotax is Fantastic

I have used Turbotax for years and the Desktop version is fanctastic. I have helped others using the online version and it is significantly less intuituve and difficult to use.

Turbo Tax - Tax made (little) easy!

I don't think it's practical to file taxes purely using IRS tax-forms and instructions. It saves tons of hours when you want to go through the process of filing taxes yourself.

Do not use online version.

Online filing was supposed to give free state filing, did not happen. Glitched and shut down twice during process. Would not recommend online version to anyone.

Errors in 1099-R

First check ran smoothly, then when I reviewed it, I got errors all of a sudden. This was in reference to 1099-R, got errors about NYS taxes withheld & State amt distributed. The original 1099-Rs did not have anything in that field.

Retired clergy housing allowance

I am pleased with the product over the years and plan to continue with it. It would be nice if you included clear instructions for retired clergy who receive a pension which is designated as housing allowance.

TurboTax seems to be pretty good. I'm repeat user.

The software seems to be pretty good but t be honest I've never used anyone else's so I can be absolutely sure that it is the best. It seems to have worked for me for the past several years.

Fees

I have been using TT since 1997 and like how "easy" it is. The one thing that galls me every year is your waiting to the very end before you say, "oh by the way it's going to cost you $65 in e processing fees, which in my humble opinion should be at least partially include in the $105 cost of the software. Just tell us at the very beginning so we have time to loosen our butt-cheeks up!
