Customer reviews for LG 70" Class UQ7070 Series 4K UHD Smart TV forGreat Value!
Everything about this TV so far has been an absolute dream! The picture is gorgeous and the sound on its own is pretty good too, even though we mostly listen through our home theater speakers, which was super easy to set up with this TV. We are impressed by LG and would highly recommend. Great value!
Wireless or lan is a no go!
After purchase the tv worked fine for about 6 months, and then I could not connect to my wireless network. The warranty technician came out and replaced the entire electronic system in the back. This worked for around one year. Now I at times can connect to the wireless network, but I continued to have to type in the password and sometimes it would work. To fix this I ran lan wiring down the walls for the TV and the router connection! It did not fix the problem!!! The final thing I did was to give it to my grandson for gaming, and bought another brand to replace this one. This is probably the worst tv that I have ever purchased! No more problems now!!! Life is good!!!

A pleasant surprise
It was a gift I didn't think my husband needed. However the 70in LG is very nice. Great picture and sound. It fits nicely on our entertainment center. My only frustration is that the remote that came with the TV is not the remote in the instruction manual. There are from the remote features like using Alexa that I can't access.
Doesn’t come with magic remote!
TV is great! remote SUCKS! We purchased this TV for our living room to replace our 9 year old 60” smart tv. TV seems fine, the apps work, great picture, great sound. Already had a sound bar %26 used it with this tv, sounds like we’re in the theater. My only complaint is the remote is not the one that should be included! Why include a basic remote when the TV has many features that make it an outstanding purchase. Had to purchase an additional “magic remote” to be able to use the features that make the TV what it is. This is a ridiculous ploy. You basically have no choice but to buy a magic remote or else you can’t use the features you brought the TV for! Walmart didn’t even have the remote, had to order on Amazon %26 wait three days to get it. The best features we wanted to use would not work. I got tired of going through the menus and trying certain features just to have this pop on the screen EVERY time…” This feature is only available with Magic Remote”. If all the great features REQUIRE a MAGIC REMOTE, it should come with one. It made me so mad, I wanted to take the TV back, but who wants to go through all that trouble after loading, unloading, assembling, finding the perfect spot, setting up the apps you want, etc, etc %26 then have to take it back over a remote?! So most people will just buy the remote. Which is what LG knows will happen. Horrible business practice! I’ve been duped but maybe this will help the next person who may bypass this TV since it doesn’t come with a remote that is needed to use the best features. I could’ve purchased a Samsung or Vizio TV w/out the features the LG has if I can’t use the features w/out a special remote. Lesson learned. I will research the remotes options prior to my next TV purchase.
Amazing TV, but there is some stuff to ⚠️out for
AFTER USING FOR 6 MONTHS REVIEW ✅️Likes -Rich and bright colors💯 -Dark blacks 👍 It's very loud, but it will sound better if you purchase a soundbar🫨 -Fast response except when you turn it on, it takes 3 to 5 seconds to read remote control clicks.🫣 🚫Diskiles -No bass at all👎 -Hbo Max app says error while playing every 40 minutes and requires you to exit the app and open it again ANNOYING😒 -Comes with a basic controller, would be better if it came with the lg magic remote😐
Great tv cheap remote
So far at over a month we love our new tv. It has a great picture, sound is good even without our soundbar but excellent with it. Actually playing both tv speakers and soundbar together. Back to the picture. There are many movies that want you to use directors cut picture, I hate it as it is usually too dark. With this tv you can brighten it up and see the action. I have two complaints: it is a little slow when you select something on the screen to when it actually goes there. The other thing is the remote is awful. I just ordered a different one. Hopefully this one will be more intuitive.
remote issue
love my new t.v. only problem is my t.v. turned on by it self, and now we can't get it off the t.v. channels and back to cable, can get to the menu for a split second but goes right back to l.g. channels, we have tried every button, how can i fix this, not a magic remote
Stay away!
TV lasted 1 year and 6 months. I have no sound now. Even external speakers don't work. They want $400 to fix it and would only have a 90 day warranty. I hung up on them. Not sure if there were any additional charges. For 150 more, I could get a new TV and is, unfortunately, what I will have to do.

But something else
This is hands down probably one of the worst televisions on the market. It almost behaves as if it is refurbished. The processor moves at a snails pace, constantly needs updates, hard to find where to download apps. After a few minutes it’ll power off or stall for minutes on end whereas I have to unplug it. I have two Roku tvs for a fraction of the price and they work just fine. I’ve been wanting to return it but just don’t want the hassle of unmounting it blah blah blah.

Not user friendly
If you want a simple TV DON’T get this TV. I was not pleased as soon as we hooked up our TV. It does not have great wi if boost so it takes forever for apps to load. If you don’t put it on stand by then it takes forever for the TV to think. The remote is horrible. It has 45 buttons then it says it’s universal so when I go to hook up my surround sound to it I’m then told I can’t because it’s not a Magic remote. Then why does it have 45 buttons. The arrow buttons are sooooo close if you miss a button then your put into another app. And you don’t get a book that tells you what the 45 buttons are for. Bad choice on televisions.
