Delicious coffee.

Excellent whole bean coffee. Works great in my Breville Express espresso machine. I prefer the Colombian or Sumatra beans. Better taste and quality than the huge coffee companies like Starbucks.

Makes the best espresso

Great for making espresso. Espresso is a drink NOT a roast. Dark oily beans make bitter espresso as they over extract. These are roasted perfectly. I use them in my Breville espresso machine. True European Style espresso.

Perfect

Ignore Kerry's review. She doesn't know that European espresso beans are supposed to be lighter and dry, not dark and oily like American espresso beans, so these are right on the mark.

Just a regular cup of coffee...

Just a regular cup of coffee... beans were very dry (no oils) and were hand ground. Expected a stronger cup of coffee for an expresso but this brand was unimpressive.

Dry beans with little flavor.

Beans were dried out. Had very little flavor. Will go back to Members Mark whole bean coffee.

Buyer Beware

I knew as soon as I opened the bag that it wasn't really an espresso roast. The beans were a light to medium brown and dry looking. Maybe it was mislabeled? The coffee it brewed had none of the depth and characteristics of a dark roast... just meh.
