Having some problems with software updates

It functions. It's okay. I don't like that the keyboard is not backlit. I also miss the touch screen. It's nice and light weight but I miss being able to see the keys even when the lights are dim. Turns out I miss the touch screen as well.

I purchased this laptop 5 months ago (Black Friday in Nov 2025) and it is already broken. It just displays a black screen and is utterly unusable. I tried to return to Sam's but they have a 90-day return limit on electronics. Then, I tried to obtain help through the Lenovo 1-year warranty. But they said the warranty on my machine's serial number was already expired because it had begun sometime in 2024. I don't know how it would be possible that the warranty expired BEFORE I EVER PURCHASED IT? Does that mean that Sam's Club had sold it previously and it had been returned and then they sold again as "new"? I don't really know but I do know that I will never buy another Lenovo laptop and I won't purchase computers from Sam's Club again.
