Wiping spilled cola, Cleaning oil off of a dipstick, drying the tears of those I debate, dabbing the wounds of my forgiven enemies, removing grease from my chin as I ponder the troubles of machines, I don’t clean up spilled milk because milk is for babies, transporting egg shells from one location to the trash can, dipped in glue you can repair a tear in a speaker, dust removal, washing less than two dishes, confusing apes at the zoo or in public, etc.

I ditched the name brand ones for these member mark select a size. Is it as absorbent as bounty? No. However, we mostly use it for drying our hands, which I find a half size sufficient for. Otherwise I usually use a rag for spills anyways. If you primarily use to clean spills, there are more absorbent options out there.

Thinner than paper

For 40 of our 43 years of marriage, I would only buy Bounty paper towels. (The first three years, money was too tight for anything other than "bargain" paper towels.) Earlier this year, I couldn't find Bounty select-a-size where I normally buy it, so my husband offered to look at Sam's since he has other things he was going there for. He texted me that Sam's had them and was I okay getting 15 rolls (instead of the 9 or 12 I always bought). I said sure, as long as it was select-a-size rather than full sheets. For almost 6 months, I used the ones he bought and never once did I suspect they were not Bounty. Recently, he warned me that we were getting low on paper towels (you know, like down to our last 4-5 rolls). I checked online and it said our none of the Sam's near us had Bounty in stock, but I could order them- with free delivery- but it was back to being 12 rolls to a pack. During the discussion of waiting to see if they were back in stock soon VS ordering them (which meant wasting a huge cardboard box for shipping) he said "Member's Mark", and I said "NO, BOUNTY! I only buy BOUNTY". He said, "You may only buy Bounty, but you've been using Member's Mark for months now. You told me I could get them as long as they were select-a-size, and these are." I wanted to get angry that he had twisted my words to his advantage, but the truth is that I had no idea because these towels are every bit as strong and absorbent... and there is a substantial saving in price. 15 rolls w/ 150 sheets per roll for $17 -- or 12 rolls w/120 sheets per roll for an extra two dollars. Here's the math: (15 x 150 = 2250) - (12 x 120 = 1440) = 810 fewer sheets for more money! You aren't just getting three extra rolls of Member's Mark, you are getting almost TEN MORE ROLLS; meaning these paper towels are HALF the cost (of an equivalent amount) of the other towels.

This brand is losing its superiority. It was, at one time in my opinion the top brand but now they’ve decreased the thickness of the actual paper product. It’s like everything else where quantities are are being decrease and prices are increased. Members mark doesn’t lose out totally though because it’s still soft toilet paper.

I have bought this item so many times and never had a problem with it. In fact, I loved them so much that I keep buying them over and over. But, for some reason this last package I bought the first 6 rolls I used out of the 15 they were the worst quality ever, they were soooo think that I thought they were form Dollar Tree. I don't know what happened or if they are packed in a facility where they also make the ones for the dollar store, but this was totally unacceptable that I paid for some thing expecting the same quality as before. So I wasted 6 rolls in just a few days because the quality was extremely poor and bad.

I would recommend, I usually buy name brand & do not stray, do to quality purposes; but we tried the members mark trash bags & they were good quality so I figured I would try the members mark paper towels; you get more rolls & save close to 4 dollars compared to another popular name brand

I really wanted to like these paper towels because the price is great and they are very strong, but they leave much to be desired as far as absorbency is concerned. Liquids seem to be their kryptonite and will not soak in unless I use 3 or 4 at a time and that's extremely wasteful. I do, however, like that each roll is in its own packaging. Going forward, I will likely spend a few extra dollars for the brand that rhymes with county.

Sheets are paper thin. Use twice as much.

These paper towels are not meant for absorbency that's for sure, guess the inexpensive price is almost always a keeper.
