I absolutely love peonies! They are hard to grow due to the time it takes to see results. I’ve purchased many peony roots with some success and some failures. Compared to purchasing a potted plant from a good reputable supplier at 150!!! I’ll take my chances with this. The roots looked good. If you purchase at the store check the box weight. Not quite literally but feel for the heavier box. I was compelled to bring a scale. They reasoning is, the roots get dry and loose weight when they are not viable so you want heavier to increase your chances of success. Unfortunately I didn’t see anything about a guarantee but the ones I got look great.

I was super excited to get my shipment. However upon arrival most of my Margaret Truman roots had mold on them. I scrubbed off the mold and replanted the root.I came back few days later in the whole root has mold.

I received 2 completely dead roots, and 1 that may have a slight chance of survival. Bare roots should be showing signs of life with eyes. Did not come close to matching description or pictures of roots on website or Sam’s app
