ContiProContact's are Amazing tires

These tires came on my '13 VW CC 4Motion Exec car. I have had them for nearly 4 years. Unbelievable tires. I don't understand the bad reviews either. I have driven some of the best AWD cars, Audi A4, Audi A6 Allroad, VW Passat 4Motion, and a VW Touareg. All had Quattro or 4Motion. All with H rated M+S tires, either from Pirelli or Michelin. These are my first ContiProContacts. These tires are hands down the best tires on any pavement condition, dry/wet/snow/or ice. I am able to drive fast with serious control in all conditions. The people that complain about these tires, it just might be the car, the driver, or the need for an alignment or the PSI, because is not the tires. I live in Colorado and we frequently get snow, ice, hail, and/or boatloads of rain. And possibly all on the same day! Couple that with wind that exceeds 75MPH. The siping that comes on these tires simply rocks. I never slip. I am very confident behind the wheel. One time I even climbed out of a mountain pass covered in a sheet of ice. I drove up it like it was dry. I was there for a conference, so we were all leaving at roughly the same time. The overnight snow became a snowpacked sheet of ice by the time I left. No problem for me. I could stop, start, stop, start, never a slip. Drove around them all, going slow or fast or slow, didn't matter. I went back to help push all kinds of four wheel drive and front wheel drive cars up the hill so they could simply get out. And that was really hard, because we could barely stand on the ice. I felt way safer in the car! If you live or have to drive in inclement weather, these tires on any Audi/VW product with AWD and these ContiProContacts is a very wise choice!!

Wore out too soon

My previous tires lasted 40K miles. Purchased four tires Jan 2017 and was just told when I went in for rotation that after 9K miles that due to excessive wear I needed new tires again! My driving habits have not changed and having to buy new tires again is poor quality. Will never recommend these to anybody!

Absolutely Terrible

Took my car for it's very first oil change, where they rotated my tires. By the second oil change they told me that my tires were bald. I bought the car brand new, nobody drove the car. Tried to contact the warranty department in regards to the tire, and no help! Save your time and your money and do NOT purchase these tires unless you want to waste money!

Thank you for taking the time to leave a product review. Unfortunately, product use, (treadwear), is excluded from the original equipment tire warranty. Once the tires are worn down to 2/32" of tread remaining, the original equipment tire warranty ends; regardless of the time in use or miles driven. Although treadwear is excluded, if you have even treadwear down to 2/32" of tread remaining, with proof of tire rotation on schedule, we may be able to assist you outside the original equipment tire warranty. Awesome tire

Replaced my factory Michelins with these on my 2013 Acura TL. What an improvement! Very quiet and excellent grip in the snow and rain. I am now taking turns much faster on wet roads. Tread is still 90% after 15k miles!! The car brakes better too. They also look really aggressive and stand out. I also received a $70 visa credit card as rebate. Excellent buy!!

No complaints!

These are on my honda accord sport from factory, seem to be a pretty good fit and mix of handling and smooth road manners... noisy honda cars, great reliability, poor dampening of road noise, so cannot say its tires... all hondas noisy on the highway...

There's a reason Daimler chose these for the Smart

Bought these about four months ago since it was easier/cheaper to try to buy a new set of four (and have a solid matched set) to replace a damaged rim with (since most of the shops wouldn't take the tire off of the old rim. As the title says, there's a reason these are the Stock Tire for a ForTwo Smart. At least for the class of car this is being put on, it's a the proper match and better than most manufacturers put on their offerings- which is kind of expected out of Daimler. Good traction under most conditions, quiet, handles better than many "performance" tires- I fully expect these to hold up as well as the originals (which still had about 1.5 years, maybe a bit less, of good life left on them and these were the original tires off of a 2013 year model with moderate use...). On top of it, the price is fair for what you're buying, unlike so many other tires in this class. When it comes time to replace them again (no illusions there...) if I have the car and Continental offers these tires still, they're going back on without question or reservation.

Got a flat within the first 500 miles!

I bought my 2014 Ford Focus in the Spring or Summer of that year. Within the first 500 miles, I got a flat tire on the freeway which damaged the rim. Since then, it seems like the tires haven't had any issues since, but wanted to finally rate the tires from my experience. And I had no road assistance.

Thank you for tasking the time to provide a review. We are sorry that you experienced a flat tire. Please keep in mind that accidental damage punctures or impacts can occur to any tire regardless of miles driven or time in use. Normally, the vehicle dealer is able to assess the tire to determine if the issue is accidental damage or warranty. Or submit the tire directly to Continental for further evaluation.

Long Lasting and great warranty.

I purchased these tires because they were the original equipment tires on my Audi A8. That first set lasted about 60k miles. After 3000 miles on the new set, we ran over a piece of metal on the highway, ruining one tire. Continental replaced the tire without question.

Good tires but had to replace them 8 months in

I had the tires for 8 months when I hit a pot hole. unfortunately it caused a hold in the side of the front left tire. I took it to tires plus to see if I was covered by my warranty and unfortunately I wasn't. to make matters worse I have a awd car and was told I would need 4 new tires when I only had about 13k miles on them. I ended up getting some coopers and I have had any problems so far. The road nose, comfort, and fuel economy were Excellent. Just poor tread life.

Awesome traction when new

Rotated every 10,000 miles (Every oil change for this baby SUV) and the tires wore perfectly evenly. Car currently has 55K miles on it and tires are down to the wear bars. Absolutely awesome traction when new, we drove our Escape down an unplowed road in rural Wisconsin a few winters ago. Snow was higher than the front bumper of the car, and we were throwing it over the windshield at 30-45 MPH. When everything thawed out, we took the Escape down a "minimum maintenance road" in rural Minnesota - and fell through the mud. The muck was up to the axles of the little SUV, but it still managed to pull its way out of the mess with a minimum of fuss (Which went on for a good 2 miles). Note if you try this stunt, be sure to hose out the wheels - parts of the wheels were actually underground for a bit, so they got jammed full of mud and everything shook due to unbalancing the wheels from all the mud and gunk jammed on the inside of the wheel
