I bought two 12 pound bags of this rice. The first cup I used and probably the second, I didn't notice anything. But then I noticed pieces of black floating in the water as I was rinsing the rice. They were about the size of half a grain of rice. So I picked them out....about 20 or 30 of them in a cup of rice!! Then I noticed them crawling!! Yes black bugs in the rice!! I looked through the rest of the rice and noticed them all through. So we had already eaten some of the rice and it was very good, but probably enjoyed the bugs too as they cooked along with the rice. Anyway, I guess I better take the other bag back to Sam.
