This train is exactly what I was expecting and more. I am new to trains and did not realize the quality of Lionel. All of the listed features do not disappoint! My kids literally lay on the floor and watch it go around the track in see the Christmas tree.

We purchased this train for or grandson we are sitting it up under or Christmas tree it is a very nice train set. Me and my wife have already played with it! It has lights, sounds and smoke and the voice of Tom Hanks from the movie. We love it.

I purchased the Polar Express Lionel train set for my husband's birthday. It came packaged well and the locomotive looks great as do the other cars. I had to return it the next day and order a new one because the headlight did not work, the train did not produce smoke and the remote kept going off. Perhaps this was just a defective model. I will try the new set and comment later on that. I will say that the tracks are very nice and sturdy and we were able to put it on a rug and it worked great. The sounds are very good too.

Do not buy from Trainworld! Advertised track set was not included! Told by customer service ad was in error! Trainworld sent RMA, BUT I would assume they(TRAINWORLD) would not return shipping charges!!! Be careful if purchased form TRAINWORLD!!!!

The power cord was missing and 2 of the passenger cars had rust and damage to the plastic on the tops of the cars. No clue if it actually runs.
