Organic, low sodium, mild watery taste

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not my cup of tea. On the other hand, I would recommend this to people needing to watch their sodium intake and would be using it for cooking. I like the container and the ability to use only as much as you want. I made a cup of soup, compared to another brand I use, it has very little taste, mostly watery taste. Salt is only 90mg which is about half of what you find in most brands. Also tried it cold with black pepper and garlic as recommended, but little change for me. Sticking with usual brand. But this may be suitable for others using for cooking. I’m going to try mixing it with other brand to reduce the salt intake.

The Pacific Foods Free

The Pacific Foods Free Range Chicken broth is delicious as a base for my favorite chicken soup recipe. It add a homey flavor but lets the vegetable shine through. I always use this brand. They also have a low-sodium product which is just as tasty if you are watching your salt intake. I love both! Pacific Foods Free Range Chicken Broth

The best

As a soup lover who doesn't have enough time to regularly make batches of homemade soups, but who is not satisfied with either the ingredients or nutritional value of most canned soups (not to mention the horrificly high sodium levels), I'm always trying to make simple soups in one or two-serving sizes on the fly using packaged stocks (chicken or vegetable). It's very easy for me to add some steamed veggies (or beans) and seasonings to low-sodium chicken stock and then quickly heat and whirr (with my electric hand blender) up a healthy and tasty soup course. The only problem has been that I often did not want or need to use 32-ounces of the stock (the size of most aseptic packaged soup stocks) at one time. Although once opened, these 32-ounce packages can stay usable for maybe 10 days after opening, I still found myself throwing the unused contents out. Wasteful. These individually packaged small (8-ounce) sizes allow you to make just enough for a serving or two (depending on appetite) without waste. (Yes, you're paying a bit more in a cost-per-ounce comparison, but this is about convenience and avoiding waste.) Since I'm always adding my own seasonings (in dried or fresh form), the base flavor is not that important. In fact, I prefer a "neutral" or blandish stock so that it doesn't dominate the soup I"m making. I'm not saying this stock is tasteless, but if you're not used to low-sodium stock you're not gonna like any brand of it. (I use store generic brands as well as Pacific which I find tasty enough to heat up alone and sip if needed, especially in the winter. But again this is a stock and the base for building something. Not something that has a pronounced "taste/flavor" of its own. You will however, know that it is chicken and not vegetable stock.) Since I use chicken stock to flavor a lot of other dishes (including sauteed vegetables) instead of oils and butter, having small amounts available to use as needed is both convenient and cost-effective. (I would never use those horrible chicken boullion cubes and the only other alternative, a fairly tasty powdered mix from Vogue, is just too expensive in dry form and hard to find.) That the stock is organic is a big plus. That does matter to me. If you are not cooking for a crowd, but rather for one or two, and use chicken stock for soups or in other foods, these are something you'll want to keep on hand. FYI: They are hard to find in stock locally and are more expensive than amazon. It's another convenience and cost saver to be able to order them online.

Great way to get more nutrients into foods!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bone broth has a really good flavor. I mix it with a small amount of bullion paste to give it more of a typical chicken broth taste and use it in recipes as if it were regular chicken broth. I have had bone broths that taste very gamey before but this one is mild enough that I am able to warm it up on its own and just add some seasonings and drink the warm broth that way. I like the convenience of premade bone broth for when I don't have a whole weekend to make my own.

Added flavor and nutrients to my soup. Thrilled.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love making soup and most soups use broth as the base. I never knew there was a difference between broth and bone broth until I found this. I used the Pacific Food Organic Chicken Broth to make my famous cabbage soup. At first I was just happy to read it was organic and loved the flavor. Only later did I read up on Bone Broth and how incredibly healthy it is, full of collagen , vitamins, calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, iron , zinc and so much more. I am a new convert and you will be too. It is so easy to substitute your old broth for a new and improved one with even better flavor. Try it, you will be happy you did.

When selecting a store-bought

When selecting a store-bought chicken broth, I tend to prefer a versatile option with a minimal ingredient list. This broth has a clean, light, chicken-forward flavor profile, making it a solid option for a variety of recipes. If you’re looking for a chicken broth that will enhance the flavor of a recipe, not over power it, this broth is is a good one to have on hand. On the ethical side of things- the chicken being free-range is a great positive attribute for a store bought broth in this price range.

Great flavor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a stock that has very rich flavor. I notice a much deeper depth of flavor in this stock compared to others I have purchased. I usually do not seek out organic products because of cost, however , I believe this product is well worth it. It is not packed with sodium and other preservatives.

Pacific Organic Free Range Chicken Broth has just the right amount of seasonings to make your recipes rich and full of flavor. It’s super important to me that it is organic free range. I use this in a lot of my keto recipes. It’s really good in a broccoli cheese casserole!
