Quieter but bumpier than my former tires.

I wanted a tire that would not only reduce road noise but also add more comfort to the ride. It did lower the road noise but the ride is bumpier. I have not had the opportunity to drive in snow or rain so can't rate that. I am disappointed in the ride quality.

Comfortable and Durable

I have used another kind of Goodyear tire and liked the smooth ride, except I had to replace them every 30,000 miles I was told this new set of tires would last longer than the other tires I replaced, but would give a slightly less comfortable ride. I've had them for over a month and I do not notice the difference, and they will last 20,000 miles longer.

Tire exceeding expectations

These tires have been fantastic so far! They ride quiet, handle superbly in all weather, and look great. I look forward to these lasting the warranty miles of 85k!! Well worth the cost of these tires. These are on a hybrid car and they dont change fuel mileage either.

Pros and cons

235/40 R18. I have a Focus ST, I'm used to summer tires and a more sporty feel. This tire is nice and quiet, that's the best part. Bumps are absorbed better than a summer tires, wet traction is great. The biggest let down is under extreme braking or turning. I used to be able to stomp on the brake and never get a squeal, and the rigidity has been softened as well on this tire. Dry performance is nothing compared to a good/decent summer tire, but these are quieter and more comfortable. I was drawn in by the treadwear rating. These will do a lot of highway miles without blinking, but fall short on dry traction and let go much sooner. But that's to be expected for such a long lasting tire. Overall I wanted a quieter longer lasting highway tire, and that's exactly what I got. Only about 3000 miles on these so far.

Good overall fire

Happy so far with these tires. Runs smoothly down the highway and do far no complaints with traction both rain and snow. Replaced the Bridgestone Ecopia tires I had on my Honda CR-V which were terrible traction wise and tread wore down quickly. I've always had good experiences with Goodyear tires and believe these will not disappoint!

BMW X1

Trying Goodyear Assurance Max Life for first time. So far I believe that the X1 rides smoother on these tires and the Dry and Rain Traction is good. Car may have a little more lean when going around curves but nothing that I can't live with. Am very excited so far with how these tires are doing. Will try to let people know as Winter arrives as to how the tires do.

Great tire for highway

After 90k miles on 2 sets of stock tires I was ready for a higher quality tire with greater longevity. I drive a 2016 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring. I drive about 30k miles a year so having a lasting tire with great traction and durability was important. After about 5k miles they seem and look a lot better than the stock tires. I did notice that I lost 2-4 MPG with these new tires vs the original ones. The tread warranty should make up for it in the long run. I took a turn at speed and did notice a bit of a slide while roads were wet but I think the improved traction with snow will make up for it. Looking forward to a long life and performance from these for the next 80k miles. I think the tread warranty will definitely outweigh the slight loss of MPG.

Superb Tire

Needed to replace all 4 tires on a brand new vehicle (out of round crap stock tires that came w the vehicle)...chose the goodyear assurance maxlife tires and have not been disappointed. Not ideal to buy tires for a new vehicle but well worth it in the long run

Great tires for any type of driver.

These tires are extremely quiet. They run smooth and true. Handling is very positive but could use a bit more road feel. Traction is great on both dry and wet roads. Haven't driven on snow yet. I am a rather an aggressive driver and demand great tires. Try them. You will love them

Terrible on ice and snow

I had the Assurance tire the last time I bought tires, I got over 60,000 miles on them. Those previous tires were excellent on the highway, I drive over 3,000 miles per month. I also live in Central New York and we have our share of ice and snow and my former set of Goodyear Assurance tires NEVER let me down in the winter. My 2011 Subaru Outback was able to climb out of my steep driveway everyday without fail. This new set of tires is a complete disappointment and I have been left stranded TWICE in the past 10 days because of this tire's terrible traction. Tuesday night was spent in my car in 15 degree weather because of my inability to traverse any of our local roads. These tires are a complete letdown, especially because my last set of Goodyear Assurance tires were awesome.
