Initial impressions from the picture and description was that it might be slightly cooling.... but nothing really stays cool that claims that. While I wasn’t totally wrong, the way this blanket delivers a cooling sensation is both familiar and wonderful. Ever went camping and enjoyed the cooling sensation of your sleeping bag a little too much, and just continued to sleep with it when you came home? My sister and I did, and I was eager to tell her about this blanket when I first snuggled up in it. While one side is a more warm, microfiber material, the other is just like a sleeping bag! No, the blanket isn’t heavy, in fact it is surprisingly light weight for its size. Looking at it you might think it’s not appropriate for summer, but I’ve been using it the last week in the July heat and I’m enjoying it. While the cooling sensation doesn’t last forever, a quick shuffle of the legs delivers the cooling sensation of the spot next to it. When you shift back again, the spot you spent 20 min on is cool once again. I don’t think this is necessarily new or innovative but I certainly didn’t think of a sleeping bag texture when I wanted to stay cool at night. I think that texture is very cozy and I love this blanket for being so similar. Some might not get the same sleeping bag impression I am, but you won’t deny that it is nice and cool to the touch. I recommend this to everyone who wants a heat friendly, cozy, and cooling blanket!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked this up for my camping trips because it gets incredibly hot in the camper when the AC is off. Even when it's hot, i prefer a blanket on me so I hoped this would do the trick. This is a nice thin blanket that has a nice "cool side of the pillow" feel to it. I was comfortable throughout the night the few nights i used it and it maintained that feeling even after cleaning it a couple of times. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and may get another.

The one side stays cool to the touch, even after you have been using it. I even washed it, and it still works.

Also it’s so cute and petite. Very happy of the product I got. Will purchase more! Love that they come in 2 also love the grippy attachment

I do wish the material wasn’t as slippery-feeling, but I suppose that is the only way to create a blanket that doesn’t trap heat. I have not washed it yet, so I’m not sure how it will be affected by the washing machine.

When trying this Mainstays Cool to the Touch Bed Spread we found a great option for both. It really does stay nice and cool. The size is also great because it actually hangs over the sides of the bed enough so we are much more comfortable. The material is soft and well put together.

I have been using it while sleeping with the AC on and it keeps me both cool and warm. I'm not overly cold since it’s a blanket but I'm not hot either, it keeps me at the perfect temperature to sleep comfortably with the ac on during these hot summer nights. The blanket isn't heavy feeling, so I don’t feel weighed down while sleeping. I recommend this blanket since it really does keep you feeling cool.

I love the material that was used to make this blanket. It is very soft and silky. The pattern is very nice as well. I washed this easily and it came out very nice and fluffy when dried. The blanket is well made. The size is made to fit properly. All of the stitching is straight and there are no defects at all. It looks very nice on my bed. I like that the material is comfortable, and it really does feel nice on my skin. It stays cool with the perfect amount of warmth. The batting material that was used in the blanket stays put and does not wrinkle up. I love this blanket for the comfort, look and quality of it. I think this will last me many years.
