A Must for High School Math Students

Purchased this at the start of grade 10 for our daughter. So far seems to be working well. Took a bit of trial and error to figure out some of the functions, but overall she has not had any issues and seems to be learning to use the calculator without difficulty.

Very useful!

This calculator is great, it may seem expensive but the walmart price I got it for is waaay cheaper than staples, future shop or best buy. It's really useful once you know how it works. It's also one of the few calculators accepted during IB program exams.

Great but a bit expensive

This calculator is great - with this calculator I am able to actually get through my statistics class and there are so many tutorials on how to do functions on this calculator that if you get lost on the way it is easy for you to figure it out how to do whatever you were doing in minutes. I would recommend this product to anyone who has a need for a graphing calculator. The only bad thing is that it was a bit more expensive than the other calculators, like the Casio and everything but there are not many tutorials out there for that type of calculator, so if you need a graphing calculator I would say go with this one.

great product!

My son borrowed a calculator like this from a friend to take the ACT. He found that he was using it often for his classes. I found this on sale, a great price, at Walmart.com. He finds it very easy to use and invaluable in his college algebra class!

Must have for 8th gr Honors Math

Bought one for my son three years ago. Knew this day was coming for my daughter. They'll use them through college at the very least. So it's actually a very worthwhile investment when you factor in once you purchase it, you're done! For my daughter's calculator online purchase, I opened a Walmart MasterCard to take advantage of a twenty-five dollar promo offer. And also, because anything can happen when dealing with young teenagers, I opted for the $8 2 year protection plan as well.

Affordable, high quality,

I really like that you get to save when you buy this calculator at Walmart. It's $88 here compared to almost $100 or even more at Best Buy and other outlets. For the same quality of product, the price here is very friendly to student budgets. Also it's nice to discover that Texas Instruments calculators are primarily made in the Philippines - good partnership, consistently high standards, very proud of where I'm from. Keep it up Walmart!

TI-84 Plus Silver Edition-A Great Little Machine

The TI-84 Plus Silver Edition is a great high school calculator. It is sleek, slim, lightweight, will fit in a zip pocket to slip into a 3 ring binder, and it should serve any needs a high school student will have from freshman to senior. The next calculator your student should need will be in college if he's an engineering student. Priced around $99 online at WalMart, it was the best price in town. Take the calculator into your local jeweler and have your name engraved on the back for your protection from theft. A permanent pen label is not truly permanent. Buy your calculator during your state's tax free weekend, and chances are the taxes will be paid for you. Our kids passed the first one we bought down from one to the other till my son had it stolen, so we bought this newest one. Have it engraved!

Best price around for this particular model.

This was purchased as a gift for my granddaughter and was recommended by her advanced placement math, chemistry and physics instructors. We purchased the same one for another granddaughter while she was in high school. She is currently a senior in college and she has used it for all her college math, science and statistics classes. A worthwhile investment.
