Confidence Builder

The first thing I noticed was that this tire was quieter than my MXV4s that I had replaced. When I went on the highway my SUV tracked better and it felt very stable. So much so that I found myself over steering. Especially in construction zones where the lanes narrowed and you had to hold your lane through rough pavement the tires excelled. I have become very confident in the secure feeling these tires give. I have gotten over 60K miles with my previous MXV4s and hope these tires will give me the same.

Definite wear issue....

A quiet tire that rides well, but goodness, these things wear out quickly. 18k miles, and down to 3/32nds (though on wet roads, it feels like less!) To make matters worse, they are on my wife's car, and she definitely babies the car -- so it's definitely not due to aggressive driving.

JP17, we're sorry to read that your tires are in need of replacement after only 18,000 miles. There is a mileage warranty on the tire and you should get credit based on the mileage you received. A member of our team will be in touch to work with you and your retailer on initiating a mileage warranty claim.

Lousy Tread Life

These came as original equipment on my 2021 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. I took that as a sign of Toyota’s investment in quality. So I was extremely surprised and disappointed to be told by my dealer at 32,000 miles that they would likely need replacing at my next visit at 40,000, and that is what has happened. I’ve bought many Michelins, but for the first time I’m questioning the wisdom of that.

Not as advertised

Purchased a set of Premier LTX for my wife's Audi Q5 4 years ago. Currently at 40K miles on the tires and have had them rotated every 6K miles and it's time for a new set of tires. No issues with alignment, tire pressure, etc. over the (short) life of the tires. Apparently just not the same Michelin tires of yesrs past.

WORST TIRE I'VE EVER OWNED - TERRIBLE ON ICE AND SNOW

These tires came on my wife's Jeep Grand Cherokee. With the pandemic and working from home, I can't speak to the tire life. I will state that they are quiet and grip well on drive pavement. They are okay on wet pavement. And, unfortunately, they are TERRIBLE in snow and icy conditions. I bought winter tires for her Jeep. Night and day difference when driving in winter. I don't recommend them.

MATT, Thanks for taking the time to submit a review. We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the Premier LTX in snow and icy conditions, however all-season tires do have limitations when driving in winter conditions, and winter tires are necessary.

Chunks are coming off the tread of my tires!

Like the review with the photos, my tires have suddenly started doing the same exact thing! My vehicle has 32,000 miles on it (2019 Cadillac XT5) and chunks of rubber are now missing from the tread of my tires, and the rubber is cracking and peeling off just like the images the previous reviewer posted. I would not recommend this tire, at all.

Best tire ever

It came with my 2016 Lexus RX F-sports. After about a month, I decided I want to put aftermarket wheels with wider tire. I liked Michelin Premier LTX so much that I went with same tire, but wider. I'm very happy with handling on wet or dry. And it's very smooth and quiet ride.

Mud and Snow tire?? Are you kidding?

Original Tire on my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I rotate my tires at every oil change. They are wearing evenly. 22K miles and I'm replacing them. 1/32 from wear bar. The Worst Tire I have ever used in the snow. Good traction for starting from a stop, (because of the Jeep traction control), loves to slide around corners, when trying to brake, and every other snow condition. How did this tire get a M&S rating with 7/32" NEW Tread?

Worst tread wear

Worst tire so far. Had owned many tires from michelin but tread wear or rubber falling apart is horrible have driving 24000 miles on the tire but had to replace it due to rubber falling apart and excessive tread wear. State inspection told me to change tire due to tread rubber falling apart.

Poor wear

These tires came new on my 2018 Cadillac XT5. Good handling, quiet ride, decent wet and winter traction. Tread all but used up by 40,000 miles. For the price, these tires need to go at least another 20K. Tire dealer told me 40K is about the best wear they've seen out of this tire. Many tanking at 30K or even less. Replaced with Continental LX20s. Hopefully they will wear longer.
