I was shocked with disappointment when I opened up the box. The base was some cheap thin layer of plastic. On the user manual, first couple of pages illustrates the flimsy new design but pages after, they have the traditional base picture. The new base cradle does NOT work with media rack stand either. They will shift left and right on the stand when you push it. I called bowflex directly and asked. Initially the person on the phone didnt know about this change and made an inquiry with their engineering department. Then they've confirmed that the design was re-done and all future production will be using these flimpy thin plastic. How can Bowflex keep increasing the price yet cutting cost on materials? Absolutely terrible You are most likely not going to get the traditional base cradle on Walmart product pictures. It will be this new design, so beware! It's not really Walmart's fault but manufacturer's fault

This item I purchased was for my son as a Christmas gift. He is in to working out and enjoys it alot! Instead of having multiple sets of dumbells which would make his apartment look like a mess, this helps solve that solution. He saves room and it makes it easier when he wants to workout, but does not want to leave the house. I'm thinking of purchasing one for my own house.

I live in a small house and needed to incorporate weights into my office/workout room. These don't take up much space at all, just what I needed. The gears work smoothly, they arrived 3 days early (I live in a suburb of Philadelphia), and they're comfortable to hold. Well packed, too. I wouldn't have been able to pick up the box if I'd bought them at a store, so buying online was a great experience.

Bought these dumbbells as i have very limited space in my apartment to keep a full rack. The only complaint i have is that the weight sections can wiggle in the handle as you work out. They are fully secure but with them moving it makes it feel unsteady; however, once you get used to it its good. Love that it goes all the way up to 52.5 pounds. I haven't gotten to use it to its highest setting yet but i'm hoping to get there soon.

I personally prefer hex dumbells, but I don't have the extra space for multiple sets of dumbells that range up to 52.5lbs. These are quick and easy to adjust. The dumbells are sturdy and get the job done. The only part that I don't like is the length of each dumbell; it's slightly akward using them for certain moves if you have become accustomed to using hex dumbells.

I am very pleased with these dumbbells so far. They adjust fine. I agree with other users that they are still bulky with low weights, but they feel like expensive equipment. I've had them a few months and can't complain. $299 is a steal for these. God Bless

For many years when in need of a set of dumbbells I have always bought a pair varying in weight but with these and the ability to manually select/rotate to the desired weight ranging from 5 to 52.5 lbs in 2.5 lb increments this is the complete package. Not only will I no longer need to buy another par of dumbbells but I'm also saving so much space at home with now only these pair. Overall, I absolutely recommend these to those in need a new pair of dumbbells, they're durable with premium quality, versatile, and most importantly convenient. With these I also purchased the *Reebok Professional Deck Workout Bench* and together they both are the best combo for my home gym not mention aesthetically appealing with the matching Red/Black theme.
