[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like that the Barkbath is able to sort the clean water from the dirty water, and that it isn't as much of a mess as using a tub. However, I feel like this product is more of maintenance between washes. So if you have a really dirty dog that is normally outside, and wanting to put it in because of the hot months, then this may not be the best product to use for the first really good wash if that makes sense. In my case, I bring my dog inside in the summer, and she hadn't had a good wash in several months, and the BarkBath didn't really clean the dirt off very well. However, I do think that it will be good for in between washes. Some reviews stated that the BarkBath is a little loud, I do agree however it was not a problem for me or my dog. Another thing that was a little weird was that the water container already had a lot of water drops in it when I first opened it. It may have been from moisture, but I wasn't sure if maybe it was tested before it was sent. All in all, I think it's a great concept especially for dogs who are already somewhat clean.

It makes about as much noise as a vacuum cleaner. It's efficient and very quick. My dog is half beagle and prone to that 'hound smell'. Her favorite groomer unfortunately moved away and she really doesn't like the replacement. It's far too messy to bathe her in our small bathroom - until now. The included mulberry shampoo smells delicious, but if you don't like your pup smelling of yummy berries, it fades quickly, leaving just clean puppy. Personally, I'd have liked both the water pressure and the suction to be a little higher, but it's an excellent alternative to hoses and suds, very easy to use, quick to set up and an easy adjustment for the pup. The shampoo didn't leave any residue and it took about 5 minutes to bathe a medium sized dog.

She was a bit damper at the end then I expected but dried quickly. She looks and smells wonderful. She is recovering from knee surgery and can't get in and out of our tub so the Barkbath was a life saver.

I live in Michigan where our crazy weather goes from freezing to lots of mud in 24 hours, we have two English golden retrievers 4 months and 1 year and both were scared to death, didn't like it at all. With all the mud I was sure it would be the perfect solution. I love all my other Bissell products. I was sure this was the answer to my Spring mud madness, but it just spayed water all over and really didn't lift out any of the dirt or mud. A warm wash cloth worked much better. I would have tryed to get them used to it if I could have seen the advantage, I pictured it sitting by the back door though spring. Really hard to hold the dog and handle at the same time. The control to spray the water / cleaner pushes really hard. The cleaning attachment is rigid so when trying to do legs only one or two sprayers hit the dog, water then goes everywhere else. May work if the attachment was a bit flexable so it would mold a bit to the contour of the dog. Fabulous idea just did not work like I thought it would. Bissell please take this back to the drawing board this is such a great idea. It could be so worth getting the dogs used to it.

And the portable BARKBATH Bissell was very easy to know how to getting done, shower her with yes 42oz of water plus the shampoo. Amazing equipment: I do recommend to anyone wants to use inside or outside. I am DISABLED PERSON and I have no problems to done the job. "Buy it you won't regret"!!!!!!!......

We use this on our older German Sheppard dog. He has a hard time standing for a bath and we cannot give him one outside in the winter. It seems to work pretty good I think a dog with a double coat like his takes longer. But we are pretty pleased with it.

I love this. I vacuum my dog regularly anyway, so the sound didn't bother her in the least. She was hardly wet afterward at all, and dried much more quickly than after a usual bath. And I was dry too! I'm usually soaked trying to wrestle with her, lol. It is very easy to use.

The weather was cooling down and I really wasn't looking forward to shoving the 90lb beasts into the bathtub. Enter barkbath. It didn't take very long and I didn't really use much soap either. I had the unit right next to me for easy switching shampoo/rinse. Dogs didn't fight it, even the skittish one. Dirty water in tank when done and dog clean and shiny. I did not try the belly or legs. Would not recommend on small dogs or one that really need a good cleaning all over. #sweepstakes. Bathed dogs on a laminate wood floor. Threw down a towel for traction and cleanup was simple. Mulberry shampoo very faint smell.

Didn't seem to bother him at all. Did a pretty good job of cleaning him (hey look our dog is white!) even better job of taking away the smell Results may vary...but we are pleased with our purchase
