I was so excited when I received the barkbath. I have 2 dogs a small pug and a 185 lb English mastiff. The machine came neatly packed and I followed the quick start directions. It reminds me of a carpet cleaner but for your dog. The machine was easy to "setup" and is probably as loud a hair dryer on high setting. I washed my pug since the big guy needs to definitely be done outside. I started at the top of her neck and went to her tail. Very little water dropped off of her and you could see the handle sucking up the water. I really really liked how it has a metal guard so the dog hair can not get clogged. I made the mistake of not brushing my dog before I washed her. I did her whole body and then switched to the rinse and went over once more. The machine did leave her slightly damp, I tried going over her again to remove the excess water but I couldn't get it all off. The dirty water tank was easy to remove and rinse out. I like how it has the separate tanks for clean water and dirty water. The hose is very long which I liked too I put the machine on the floor and actually had my dog in the sink on a towel. Overall I love this machine it is a great concept and is awesome for those pets who don't do well at the groomers. And it does not require a lot of the included pet soap that came with the machine. Love the barkbath!

The Bissell Bark Bath is excellent at grooming dogs. We received our Bark Bath & couldn't wait to try it out. We have a Sheltie which has a lot of hair. The Bark Bath outperformed our wildest expectations. The dog absolutely loved it & it's so easy to use. The dog must have thought he was at the spa, as he seemed to be in a trance with the warm water & soothing motion used to bathe him with the Bark Bath. It was also great being able to Bath him not using the bathtub. The Bark Bath provides an excellent grooming and bathing experience that is equal to or surpasses any high dollar dog grooming salon. I would highly recommend the Bissell Bark Bath for all your dog grooming needs.

We have 2 German Shepherds and a Yorkie and you can imagine how costly it is grooming these 3!! It is so messy trying to get the German Shepherds into our bath tub it just isn't worth it!! I can't wait until this is available!! Please let me know when!! Can't wait to see how it does because I will be having to clean our male more often since he will become a therapy dog soon and he will have to be groomed more often because the criteria is for them to be clean on all visits. We already own your Bissell Pro Heat Select for Pets upright carpet cleaner. Love it!! So I know this will be just as great!!

Having used the BARKBATH a couple of times now, I have to say I love it! What a great idea! My dog Jake is a country dog that gets into everything from the dusty roads and muddy creeks. I no longer stress about it because I have the help of BARKBATH. Jake is generally put off by the vacuum, but with the help of the training videos and the tips in the directions I was able to get Jake used to and he patiently sits and loves the attention. It's a double bonus because he enjoys it and gets clean without having to endure the cold water hose or a fight in the bath tub. The initial set up takes a little more time, but once you get used to how it all goes together it becomes quick. I love the little rug that it sits on to not only dampen noise but also aides in catching the shampoo/water combo if you get going too fast. Check out the BARKBATH! I highly recommend it!

My dog is to big for a bath tub and the hose just soaks her to much and then takes forever to dry. I saw this product and thought what a great idea! My dog is a lab and a little hesitant around vacuum cleaners, but after inturned it on and let her get used to it, she let me begin the process of cleaning her. The best part was she wasn't soaked when I was done and she smelled good. She dried fast and her coat was shiny! It was easy to clean up and stores easily as well. I have been telling all my friends with pets about this product!

It bring a comb too start the process and also included with a bottle of shampoo of the same brand of tthis machine. This vacuum is perfect for my pet it has enough of tank too add water. Is i have a pup the mat that brings is perfect for hes size where he needs too be standing. Also the sprayer like the hose where the water comes out only has 3 little wholes which makes the the water slower too come out. I would of like that it would have a volume where the watwr could of come faster. But I guess this is gentleness for the pet which makes it slower and smooth.

This unit is so easy to use. Set up and clean up are simple. The training instructions were spot on. Both of my dogs accepted the vacuum noise. I rarely bathed the dogs because they hated it and it was a pain in the neck before I got this unit. !! I give the dogs a bath at least twice a month. My dogs smell better of course but so does my house and furniture.

I use it to bath my 10 lb dog...very easy to set up and use...my dog was scared it took 2 of us to hold her but I think she will get used to it over time...I've only used it once she's a inside dog and i don't need to bath her to often...I think I will enjoy this machine..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit would be terrific for someone living in an apt. in the city or very cold climate. Prep time, priming the unit, and general setup time is the only drawback I can see. Seems to do a good job, and easy to operate if your pet cooperates. Make sure you go through the familiarization routine with your pet. Good for winter time baths. Easier in the summer with the garden hose.

Is not powerful enough to get my dog wet to the skin without 6 or 7 passes, and when wet it is not powerful enough to extract the water. Makes a puddle and is rather messy and underpowered for a long coated breed, better off using the garden hose and a squeegee
