The shampoo did not mix with the warm water so it was very cold and did not extract the water as well as expected. It's necessary to repeat the whole procedure to rinse the shampoo. Lengthy process for dogs that are not overjoyed with the first round of cold solution- I have 2 medium size dogs and bought this because of recent hand surgery. It took longer than a regular shampoo and were just as wet. The idea is innovative and has promise but not at this stage. Very happy with other Bissell products I have!

Had trouble getting started. I seemed to soak my dog when I shampooed him. There was no dirty water and I don't know why. Also I seemed to use very little shampoo but maybe thats normal. Still uncertain when to shampoo, when to rinse and when to do neither and draw the water out of his coat. This is not an easy system to operate and the long hoses are hassle. As today was only the first time I used it I'm hoping I become more proficient over time. My dog did not mind the noise, but he didn't like getting soaked, and he had enough before I even got to his legs. As I said I hope I become more proficient at using it and my dog becomes more accepting. I doubt I can use it on my other much smaller dog as she doesn't like the noise. Overall, I found it rather a hassle, but as I can no longer bathe my 90lb dog in a tub or outside I will have to succeed with this system.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog has arthritis in his back hips and legs so getting him in the car and taking him to a groomer is out of the question because he can't physically stand long enough for a bath or car ride. The bark bath saved so much hassle and was easy to use. I got him to lay down while I washed him and he was so relaxed the whole time not to mention his fur was soft and he smelled great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this shampooer to clean my dog after summer play days. I was very disappointed in the performance of this shampooer. I think it would work well for smaller dogs with very short hair. My dog is a 9 month old German Shepherd who weighs about 60 lbs right now. I could not get his stomach/under carriage clean and the brush part got clogged very quickly into the process. I thought this would be easier than getting in the shower to clean him (and then the shower) but, unfortunately that is not the case.

I had watched a few YouTube videos and read several reviews beforr I bought the Bark Bath. So I basically knew what to expect. I immediately took off the short prongs and screwed down the longer ones on the shampooer head. I went with back and forth motions, being sure to really get to the skin. My German Shepard really needed a cleaning and the weekly dog wipes and waterless shampoo with paper towels wasn't cutting it. He still gets *wet* but not like soaking wet from a bath using the tub. It's easy so shammi him off and that helps pull out any residual dirt. He was a really good boy during the whole process, the noise or the vaccuming/washing nozzle didn't bother him at all. I think this is a great option for the fall, winter, spring months when I do a warm water bath out on my deck. The shampoo seems mild, he is clean and fresh, and his fur is soft.

I run a Basset Rescue, so this seemed like a good idea. I tried it, but found the water just splashed off the Basset & it took longer that it would to bathe them in a tub. Even putting hot water in the tank it came out cool by the time it got to the dogs coat. It made more of a mess & cleaned less than I had hoped. I think it may help to remove water from a wet dog, so I am going to try it after I bath them to remove more water. But I wouldn't recommend it .. it seems to be more work than just bathing a dog in a tub.

So far it seems to do okay. We have a rescue that was abused so we did the noise sensitive approach. Which is a good suggestion from Bissell to get them familiar with the noise. She has long hair and we did just her back.and sides. It worked good. She's an indoor dog but the Bark and Bath got her a little cleaner. Going to use it again soon to do the rest of her. We have recommended to friends and family to get the Bark and Bath it will save on the cost of a groomer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is very convenient,but very loud. Love the idea of it but I can't seem to get my dog very dry with the suction part. Water still drips out from the sprayer while I'm trying suction the water out. But still use it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Disappointed in this product. I have a large long hair dog and the water pressure just is not adequate. Takes a very long time to use this machine. Much faster to wash my dog in the hose. My dog wasn't a fan either.
