I always pick up a pecan pie from Sams for Thanksgiving (as I did this year). Everyone normally loves it. This year the pecans tasted burnt. The pie was awful. We ended up having to toss it in the trash. I guess I'll have to go back to making my own.

Excellent, my sister sent me on my second mission for this pie. The 1st was Thanksgiving and so when I headed there again for X-Mas and it was your pecan pie she wanted again. I made 3 separate trips and u where out. Went online the item was there I provided a pick up time and picked it up no problems on my way out of town. Thanks for making my sisters' Christmas.

I’ve bought pecan pies (along with pies) from Sam’s over the past 10 years. This year, however I was very disappointed. The crust just wasn’t right too much filling (that was way too sweet) and A very shallow layer of pecans on top. I won’t be making that mistake again. These pies are just not worth the money.

Oct 18, 2023. I buy a pecan pie as a treat a couple times a year. These pecan pies used to be pretty darn good. I bought one which was 1 day since baking. Crust lighter in color. I've eaten pecan pies from well over 26 states. I've never run across a pecan pie without a redeemable quality until now. I could barely cut through the crust. The filling was lightly firmed but the flavor was bar none the worst I've ever had in a pecan pie. The pecans on top were plenty but bland. I wanted to toss this thing out after the first bite. But my spending $12.xx on it was hard to swallow. If I weren't 36 miles away I would've returned it immediately. If you haven't had their new version, and like the old version like I did, stay away from this and save your money.

Bought these (2) and picked up for Thanksgiving. Both were past the use by date and were very dry, (stale)? Shame on me for not paying attention when I picked them up. Moral is shop for yourself and in person even if you have to wait in line to check yourself out and then wait in line to have someone verify that you paid for the merchandise in your cart
