One of our vehicles is a Buick Rainer CXL-V8, all wheel drive. The first 71,000 miles were on the "factory Michelins" with no problems. My wife travels with the Rainer for work, so wanted peace of mind for the next 70,000+ miles. We are now 40,000 miles into the new Michelins with no problems, a good ride and excellant wear. Two of our vehicles are over 105,000 miles, one with Michelins ( and extremely happy ) and one waiting for a good set of Michelins. The 3rd vehicle is at 215,000 miles, riding on its 3rd set of Michelin tires. The ONLY tire to My vehicles.

I installed the MICHELIN® Defender® LTX® M/S tires in my 1999 Land Cruiser a couple of weeks ago. The last set I had was the MICHELIN® LTX® M/S which lasted me 81K miles. I was waiting for these tires for 5 months as Michelin paused production of them. I read all the reviews everywhere and I am glad at the end I decided to continue with the Michelin as I have on my other 2 cars. People complain for noise. I could not hear anything. Yes these tires might not be perfect for snow but they seem to be good on wet surfaces. Coming from old beat up tires you can really tell the difference on the ride.

This is not my 1st set of these tires on present and previous Tahoe's and while great on wet roads this set of 4 tires is wearing the worst of all previous sets. The dealer rotates the tires every 5000 miles and they are all wearing evenly from outside edges to center of the tires. However with 50,000 miles there is no way I will be able to run these tires for the length of the stated and advertised warranty of 70,000 miles. All previous sets went the full 70,000 miles but not these. I have been told by some tire dealers that Michelin was sold just before I purchased these tires and the rubber is not the same compound as previous LTX M/S2. Considering the premium price these tires cost, I will need to consider other brands for the next purchase.

This is the third set of LTX M/S I've owned and I will not ever own anything else! These tires are perfect for my truck ,long interstate drives or getting a little mud on my tires makes no difference with these babies! My dad always taught me the two most important things on a vehicle were the tires and brakes. He also said your going to get what you pay for, which I didn't always follow his advise. I took the cheaper route and it always cost me more in the end. LTX Michelins will out last and ride smoother then any tire on the market and thats why this guy will never buy anything else. Second set of tires on my 2001 Chevy Tahoe. First set ran over 80,000 miles and had enough tread left for another 20.000. Over the years, I have bought Michelin tires several times. I would not buy any other manufacturer. I am looking forward to many more miles on my Michelin tires.

In 2000 I bought a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe with 9000 miles on the clock. Apparantly the original owner didn't like the original equipment tires that came on the vehicle and had swapped them for a set of Michelins. I liked those tires very much from day one. The ride was excellent. The handling, braking, wet traction, and traction in snow were all very good. That set of tires lasted until 2009, when with about 60,000 miles on them, I figured it was time for a new set. Of course, I put on another set of Michelins. I also put a set on my wife's minivan. She loves them too.

I sliced the side wall open while driving on hard top on a pice of lumber at low speed. Only 12,000 K on the set. Now wether to replace two or all four as its a 4X4. Disappointing, good fuel economy and ride though. Maybe I would have better luck with AT/2? Its the sort of failure I associate with off road use.

I had a set of these on my Chevy Blazer some years back. I kept them rotated and balanced every 5,000 miles. I got 102,000 miles out of these tires. I thought they would dry rot before I would wear them out. I only buy Michelin tires for my vehicles. If they come with some other tire when purchased new then I swap out to Michelin.

I use this tire on my everyday use truck, it is great handling and quiet. It feels great in any weather wet or dry. My only complaint is the cost, I wish it was just a little more affordable. But most of all I do value my life and that of my family and you can't put a price on that.

About 18 years ago I purchased my first set of Michelin LTX M/S tires for my Jeep Cherokee and was pleasantly surprised to find they were the best tires I ever owned. Great traction wet/dry & on/off road, quiet ride, and best of all long mileage. After purchasing a GMC Yukon I wasn't happy with the factory installed tires. They were noisy, poor traction off road and wore out quickly. After installing a set of Michelin LTX M/S I am very happy again. Based on my experience with tires I will only purchase and recommend Michelin tires.
