After about 14 years or so, our 17KW crapped out. In simple terms, the stator self-destructed. Major, major costly repair. The local dealership that originally installed this 17KW quoted me a price to replace the generator. 17KW was no longer available, so they quoted me on the next size up. I believe it was on a 18 or 20KW. The price they quoted me was around $8,500.00. That was more than the original cost of the 17KW which included the transfer box(which would not need to be replaced) and connection to the propane tank. I searched around for another dealership and found one that had a 22KW in stock for $5,250.00. Installation included. So that’s what I went with. That was installed 6/20/18. Here it is September of 2021 and the generator failed. My mistake was to call in the same people who sold/installed the 17KW. They diagnosed it the next day, determined that the control board need to be replaced, however, since they did not install/replace the 22KW, they would not work on it. Here’s the summary. When I purchased the 22KW it came with a 5 year warranty, but after the first 3 years, the only things left on the warranty are the engine and alternator. I don’t care one way or the other. I just wanted it fixed. Come to find out Generac dealers/service companies are 3rd party. They can set their own guidelines/policies. No commitment or jurisdiction under Generac. So here’s where I stand. The dealership that sold me the 22KW will be here tomorrow. My advice to any potential buyers is beware. Not all Generac service companies appear to be equal. If they have internal policies that prevent them from servicing your generator, you may find yourself in a compromising situation. Don’t get me wrong. As long as it works, Generac stand-by generators are wonderful, but in MHO, if a company such as Generac certifies installation/ service companies, they should also be able to control service policies over these 3rd party companies.

I recently purchased a 24kW Model 7210 and had it installed last week after moving to an area that has frequent power outages. What a fantastic piece of equipment this generator is the Auto Switch and WiFi monitoring is incredible and works great. I'm ready for any power outages now, what a piece of mind knowing if we are away power will be automatically restored in seconds without having to do a thing. Highly Recommend Generac!

I have a 16 k generac generator that I bought in 2006. Never gave me any problems, except that the base it's all rusted. I'm going to give it to my nephew, so he could get a new base for it and install it at his house. I just bought a new one 18 k and I love it. Hopefully this one doesn't get rusty. Maybe I'm asking for too much because my 16 k it's almost 16 years old. But in general I'm very pleased with the performance. I do recommend Generac.

We decided to purchase a whole house generator after the February 2021 freeze in Texas. We looked at several companies and generator brands and choose a 24KW whole house, Wi-Fi Generac. It will support our heating and cooling unit, as well as anything we may need should the power go out for any reason. We signed the contract in June and the final start-up was January 5th. A long time, but it was worth the wait! The unit is top notch and we are very happy with the product and the company that installed it. We do have one suggestion for Generac, why not make either put your logo on both sides of the unit or make both a left hand and right-hand installation so based on where the unit is installed in the yard, your logo shows. We had to install ours on the left side of the yard, so the exhaust blows away from the fence, so the Generac logo faces the fence. If we faced it with Generac showing the exhaust would blow into the eves of our house....just a thought/suggestion.

I love my new generator. We have only had it for a couple weeks now and it has already done its duty twice. The lights flicker, hardly noticeable, but I go outside and find my generator has kicked in because the power has gone out again as another strong storm goes by. Wisest investment I ever made - I can hardly wait until winter!

We live in a rural Ontario region. Our concern about power stability is well founded as there are outages from time-to-time. We are very relieved to have invested in the 22kw Guardian. We received excellent dealer service and follow up on all of our questions. We have highly recommended Generac products to our friends.

I live on the gulf coast were it is not if we have a storm and a power outage but when. I did a good deal of research before I decided on a Generac and was not disappointed when the install was complete. The peace of mind of knowing that I will have power when we have our next outage is worth every penny spent. Hurricane season is 6 months long and worrying about a storm gets old. The installers were professionals and did an excellent job. When we did the first load test you could not even hear the generator running inside the house.

The unit is made well, and the cabinet is nice not being made out of steel. The unit is quieter than I thought it would be and started up on its 1st. weekly test. Only had it for two weeks and waiting for a power outage so I can see how it works. It will do just fine, I am sure.

Dealer did a great job in setting it up and going over the details with us. We've lost power twice since then and the generator performed wonderfully. I like that it has a locking lid for security and green light indicator to let you know everything is working properly.

The company that installed our unit has a long standing reputation of good service and satisfaction. Appearance of unit is attractive and blends into the local enviroment of the neighborhood, running noise of the unit is minimal . Cost of the unit was comparable or better then other manufactures that we investigated. Availability of our unit fit the time schedule of our lifestyle
