Great installation job by the company I selected. Only twice has the generator kicked in but each time was a source of relief knowing I had power. It is the 22kw air cooled and seems to power the house entirely, at least the appliances I had to use and the cooling/heating system. Lag time was approx 30 to 1 min but there was power thereafter. Just long enough where you do have to reprogram the clocks on the microwave and stove, etc. The generator is situated in a nice outside structure which seems durable. I also liked the fact it was bolted to the cement and there was a shroud that covered the bolted area. It is associated with some noise but is markedly different from the portable generators (my neighbor has one and I can hear it clear across a field at least 200 yards. Appears to be low maintenance with the generator cycling to check itself I believe twice monthly. I have yet to see it cycle. Will contact the installation company when oil change , etc is needed. Overall, I believe it was worth the investment for piece of mind and also safety and comfort. So far looks good and works great.

WE just installed the 22KW/999. The installation crew of 2 were great and had me going in a day. This is the 6th generator I purchased in the last 4 years, all 6 for different houses. They are are for my children's homes and one rental. No problems with any of them and great service.

Very pleased with the functionality and protection provided by this generator. Mobile Link needs to be improved. I lost Mobile Link connection one day after installation. I went through the reconnect process probably 20 times over the next several days (I can now do this in my sleep). I had many conversations with the installing dealer, tried calling the Mobile Link hotline……I installed a WiFi extender, which showed connectivity consistently over 60%. But I kept getting the error message (on the APP) that connection was lost. I went to the generator and it showed connected at 60%. So I kind of gave up on the whole process. Then magically one day it started working (on its own) and still works as of now. I actually LOVE the features of Mobile Link when it works. I recently noticed in my activity log that “Firmware updated, boot to Auto” was apparently done recently - on the same day my Mobile Link started working consistently. I assume this fixed my problem, hopefully for good. So as of today I am 100% satisfied……after some initial frustration.

Exceeded my expectations, I had the transfer switch installed when the house was constructed so the install was quick and easy. Very professional. Have not had a power outage yet so i cant comment on the ability of the unit to power everything but when it was tested it came up and did what it supposed to do

Love my new 22KW/999 generator! The first week it was installed I got to put it to use! A squirrel blew the transfer switch for our neighborhoods power! I was in the shower at the time and when the lights went out I thought oh no! But 10 seconds and I had power! The rest of the neighbors were out of power for 5 hours! Generator did it’s job!

We have had this unit 7043 installed almost 2.5 yrs ago. This year alone it has been on line 3 times, the longest is about 10 hrs. It has started every time when it should have and has shut down appropriately. VERY DEPENDABLE Would be nice in history if they showed how long on generator power each time.

Thank you Generac. I installed the 22kw about two years ago after we lost power for a day. Hurricane Florence just devestated NC. We did not suffer any loses but we lost power. The generator came on immediately and ran for two days nonstop. I felt bad for the neighbors in the sweltering heat. My adult children all came and stayed with us and we were safe and happy with full a/c and everything powered on. We watched movies and weathered the storm easily. It was truly amazing. Thank you!!! Best investment I’ve ever made!!

Hightower Electric was an excellent choice for obtaining our Generac standby automatic generator system. Mike Lowrey explained the correct sizing of the generator needed and dealing with local gas utility. He obtained the permits from the township, kept us informed of schedule progress, performed the work on the agreed date and scheduled the two township inspections required before final acceptance. He offered as an add-on option a replacement of our home's old main electrical panel box with new circuit breakers and proper grounding. There were no surprises, in terms of project scope, schedule and cost.

Built my home in summer of 2020, installed the 22kW Generac onto the home and I have never been so happy. Every outage it performed perfectly, every month, it tested perfectly on the 1st. Every time I use the APP to check it or update the maintenance, it’s all good to go. I can’t say enough good things for this product. People, if your just not sure, do it, you won’t be disappointed.

With the frequency of power outages that we experience, although short lived makes this a wonderful way to proceed "as if nothing had happened". We have Medical equipment that needs to be active 24/7 and this generator setup alleviates all of my anxiety. With the Propane Conversion Option, even in a catastrophe, where natural gas was cut off, we would continue to run without a worry. Thanks Generac!
