We had a 26kw air cooled Generac generator installed to replace our 18 year old 25kw Guardian Elite water cooled generator. Metro Electric did a great job with the new install and we are very happy with the performance of new unit. Within 2-3 weeks of install, we had a 48 hour power outage and the new generator worked perfectly. It is a bit noisier than our water cooled unit, but that is to be expected given the difference in engines for the 26kw air cooled and a similar sized water cooled unit. We love the Mobile Link system for keeping track of the generator exercising and running, particularly when we are away from home.

As part of the purchasing process of Generac whole home generators. Certified Generac installers should be contracted to install the generators. Electrician and Plumbers can hook the generators up correctly. But if there's an issue with the generators and aren't functional or will not star. They will not have the knowledge to identify the problem in order to get the generators repaired. Fyi, that's issue I faced. It took almost a month after purchasing to get my 26kw functioning properly.

I replaced a small generator with a new 24kW Generac. The WiFi connection took an old person a little time and effort. But it is connected and ready to run. I no longer will have to worry about being without power. The auto start and transfer switch will be great. Not that I want to have a power outage. But we are ready for it when it happens, and it will.

Overall great features. Love it. Only problem is unclear directions on menu setup. Needs to be easily planned out directions from Generac, more clear and concise. That’s the only problem I had. Would recommend and would buy again. Called in to customer service and Wendy was a great help.

This product is everything you can hope for. It certainly takes a lot of your mine in case of a power outage especially during a storm/ hurricane. I don't have to worry about filling up gas cans, and preparing my portable generator anymore, along with running extension cords .

Ordered the 24KW unit in July of 2021 and finally got it installed in April of 2022 .. long backlog here in Houston post the big freeze in February 2021. Generator Exchange did a fine job with the installation which was a one-day job, post-pouring the mounting concrete slab. Ony hiccup was that the load shedding (SMM)) modules didn't seem to work at first with my 3 AC units. Generator Exchnage swapped them out and then we actually had a briefd power outage the next day, the genertaor kicked in for 10 miniutes, and the units worked flawlessly. Now waiting on the WiFi kit to finish the job.

I am very impressed with the quality of this generator. It has a good appearance and fits very well in my backyard. The generator is reasonably quiet. I haven't yet needed it for a power outage but I am confident it will perform as it is supposed to.

The 22KW provided the "extra" power headroom I was looking for. With both a 5Ton A/C and a large media room, the extra output was welcome. The bonus with this unit is that, while costing only a few dollars more, it uses less NG or LP fuel then either the Generac 16 or 20KW units. Living in the Midwest, the Cold Start package was a welcome addition. Overall, a win-win solution.

I purchased Generac because of its reputation in the field. Most of the cellular communications field use these for backup power so I figured if they trust it to keep millions of dollars of equipment on the air why not me. My unit has worked faultlessly so far and I expect it to for many more years. The weekly exercise program and the auto start features are a god send. Being up in the mountains where we get heavy snow and loose power a lot, my worries are over and I can live with out worries of food spoiling no heat and the ability to cook for the family. If I did it again I would pick the exact same unit and have showed it to numerous neighbors and friends with demos.

Last year we had a 39 hour outage from a storm, so we paid $26,000 for a Generac Generator. 3 months later we had another outage. The generator went on and lasted 20 minutes, then had a catastrophic failure, spurting oil out everywhere. It had to be replaced with a new generator, AFTER our power was back on, after being off for 24 hours. Very Unhappy.
