My new 22KW generator with Automatic Transfer Switch was installed 11-2-2022. The generator is operational, though luckily has not been needed for service. It comes on every Wednesday and runs for about 5 minutes for testing. I get a not on my Mobile Link that it is operational. So far this is my only experience with the equipment. I must say that the generator is noisy when running, a little louder than the average size lawn mower. But I can live with the noise so my wife and I can have electricity. After bad freeze in Texas during winter of 2021, my wife insisted that we get a generator. After researching, I contacted a local generator installer in late July 2022 and was impressed by their professionalism, and they kept their promises for meeting dates and installation dates. They completed the total installation in 1 day with some ditch digging on the day before installation and cleanup the day after the installation was approved by the local inspectors. I liked the installers installation process, including installing the natural gas piping from my gas meter to the unit and electrical wiring from the unit into my attic and on to the electrical panel and setting the new pieces of equipment.

I had a 16kw generator that got damaged by lightening and replaced it with the new 22KW model. It is quite an improvement. I love the way you can disconnect loads. This is great for me because I have AC and would love to automatically disable it if necessary. The installation was easy and the appearance is great. I have it out by the pool house and can barely hear it running Highly recoomended!

Purchased this unit for peace of mind should we be subjected to a power outage. Installation was completed in one day. The unit has a small footprint and blends in with the A/C units. The web application is simple use, and the price point was very reasonable.

Last year we had a 39 hour outage from a storm, so we paid $26,000 for a Generac Generator. 3 months later we had another outage. The generator went on and lasted 20 minutes, then had a catastrophic failure, spurting oil out everywhere. It had to be replaced with a new generator, AFTER our power was back on, after being off for 24 hours. Very Unhappy.

Size of product is really nice and very streamlined for the area of placement. Really quiet when running and very high quality! Added benefit of WiFi connection is important so that any problems are easily known. Weekly test is a plus!! Very pleased with our generator and a great value too!

Our Whole House Generator was installed on Feb.16 2023. So far we didn't have to use it but when we need it will be there for us to give us the Power we need. I hope we will never have to use it but better be safe than sorry. The Install went great, and everything is working great.

We just completed our installation of our new 22KW standby genset. The other unit the 16KW was installed in 2009 and still runs fine however, out over all load/demand grew to the point that the 16kw unit was struggling with the load - which is amazing that it still supported over its capacity. They improved the design - adding a skirt for looks and over all I am impressed with the performance of both units. We reallocated the 16kw unit to our garage. In a rural setting it's common for trees along the road to fall and interrupt power. The GENERAC automatic stand-by generator system can produce enough wattage to supply household power sufficient to maintain refrigeration, lights, air conditioning, TV and internet connection automatically. This is huge when living in, and surviving, power outages that can last weeks during storms with extreme heat and humidity in sub tropical Florida. In many areas, such as mine with acreage, it typically means some level of self reliance, so from a trade standpoint, (as an electrician) I found this unit relatively easy to install and connect to my existing utility power system.

Bought our 16kw natural gas unit six years back. The only times it ran was during short power outages lasting a few days and weekly runs. Hurricane Ida hit and we thought things were under control. Six hours into the storm and it shut down permanently. The next day I found the cover missing which allowed rain to get into the generator itself shorting everything out. Calling Generac we were told it was an act of God and our extended warranty would NOT cover it. Upon further evaluation we determined it was what I consider a manufacturers defective method of bonding the top to the subframe. The top or rather frame while locked on both sides, remained in place while the lid, held in place with sticky foam tape flew off. The tape didn't even leave residue on the lid. We just got the insurance company to agree on replacing it since Generac stands by their decision. We had to go with Generac again, but I will drill holes and bolt the lid in place this time. So a word of caution to everyone, BOLT THOSE LIDS TO THE SUBFRAME. I hope the business that installed the new unit can file a claim for the techs time to install it since insurance merely paid for the new generator but not installation. The techs did awesome work and even corrected a few issues from the first install.

The Generic 14kw Guardian series generator is the right model for my home. Great features include the automatic switch over to generator mode, easy to understand display panel, and a Wi-Fi enabled. This is was purchased to supply power to the entire house. The local authorized dealer was easy to deal with and the staff knows the product line well. I am happy with the purchase and installation.
